In his statement, Trump highlighted Rollins’ lifelong connection to agriculture and her track record in policy and leadership roles.

“Brooke Rollins has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting the American farmer, defending American food self-sufficiency, and revitalizing agriculture-dependent small towns across our great nation,” Trump said.

Rollins, a Texas native, brings both personal and professional expertise to the role. She grew up in Glen Rose, a small agriculture-focused town, and has generational ties to farming.

As a youth, Rollins was actively involved in agricultural organizations such as Future Farmers of America and 4-H, experiences that shaped her understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing farmers today.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Rollins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Development and later obtained her Juris Doctor with honors.

Trump highlighted her unique blend of practical farming experience and academic achievements as key qualifications for the position.

Rollins has also guided her four children in their involvement with show cattle, further demonstrating her hands-on experience with agricultural practices.

Rollins previously served in the Trump administration as the director of the Office of American Innovation and as acting director of the Domestic Policy Council.

During her tenure, she played a significant role in shaping and implementing domestic policies aimed at supporting rural communities and promoting economic growth.

Since leaving the White House, Rollins co-founded the America First Policy Institute, a think tank focused on advancing the Trump administration’s agenda and supporting policies that prioritize American workers and families.

Trump praised Rollins’ dedication to advancing policies that ensure the sustainability of American agriculture and strengthen rural economies. “From her upbringing in a farming family to her leadership in state and national policy, Brooke embodies the values and work ethic of America’s farmers,” Trump said.

He also emphasized the importance of food security and self-sufficiency, calling it a cornerstone of his administration’s agenda. “Brooke will be instrumental in ensuring that America remains the world leader in agriculture, not just in production, but in innovation and sustainability.”

Thank you, Mr. President, for the opportunity to serve as the next U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. It will be the honor of my life to fight for America’s farmers and our Nation’s agricultural communities. As agriculture secretary, Rollins will oversee a vast range of issues, from farm subsidies and crop insurance to food safety and rural development.

Her leadership will be critical in addressing challenges such as supply chain disruptions, the impact of climate policies on farming, and the preservation of family-owned farms.

If confirmed by the Senate, Rollins will take over a department that plays a vital role in supporting the nation’s farmers and ensuring the stability of the U.S. food supply.

Rollins expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying she looks forward to working with farmers and ranchers to advance the Trump administration’s vision for American agriculture.
