President Donald Trump spoke to reporters Monday about his past interactions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, describing their relationship as positive while recounting remarks Kim allegedly made about former President Joe Biden, as reported by TMZ.
During the exchange, Trump said he has maintained a favorable rapport with Kim and suggested that the North Korean leader has expressed supportive views toward him.
At the same time, Trump claimed Kim had previously made critical comments about Biden.

Trump told reporters that Kim had spoken positively about him but had used harsher language when referring to Biden.
“He used to call Joe Biden a ‘mentally r*****ed person,’ okay? So don’t tell me about your stuff,” Trump said.
Trump repeated the claim during the same remarks, adding, “He was so nasty to Joe Biden. It was terrible. But to me, he likes Trump.”

Donald says the reason things are “very nice” between the U.S. and North Korea is because Kim Jong Un likes him.
Trump has previously pointed to his personal diplomacy with Kim as a factor in managing tensions with North Korea.
The two leaders met during Trump’s earlier time in office, and their interactions have remained a subject of discussion in U.S. foreign policy conversations.
The comments come as Trump continues to address reporters on a range of domestic and international issues. His remarks about Kim and Biden were part of a broader discussion about global relationships and leadership dynamics.
Neither Kim Jong Un nor representatives from North Korea immediately commented on Trump’s statements. There was also no immediate response from Biden or his representatives regarding the remarks attributed to Kim.

Trump’s comments drew attention due to the language he attributed to the North Korean leader and his repeated reference to the statement during the press interaction.
The White House did not provide additional clarification following the remarks.
The exchange highlights ongoing attention to U.S.-North Korea relations, as well as continued discussion surrounding past and present diplomatic approaches involving the two countries.
