Trump Responds to New Orleans Terror Attack [WATCH]

President-elect Donald Trump issued a scathing statement early Thursday morning, condemning the New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, which left 15 people dead and several others injured.

Trump criticized the current Biden-Harris administration, calling the United States a “disaster” and a “laughing stock all over the World!” under their leadership.

Trump’s post read: “They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself. Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen to our Country. The CIA must get involved, NOW, before it is too late. The USA is breaking down – A violent erosion of Safety, National Security, and Democracy is taking place all across our Nation. Only strength and powerful leadership will stop it. See you on January 20th. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World! This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS, with weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership. The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors have not done their job. They are incompetent and…

Trump’s comments came shortly after the FBI provided an update on the investigation into the horrific attack.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, is a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas.

The FBI released a more recent photo of Jabbar and confirmed that they believe he may not have acted alone.

In a statement late Wednesday, the FBI said, “FBI special agents and our law enforcement partners are currently conducting a number of court-authorized search warrants in New Orleans and other states.” The bureau added, “The FBI’s Evidence Response Team continues to process the crime scene to meticulously gather all relevant evidence.”

Authorities plan to turn over the Bourbon Street crime scene to local law enforcement early Thursday morning.

This deadly terror attack, which took place on one of the busiest streets in New Orleans, has raised serious questions about the ability of authorities to prevent such incidents.

Jabbar’s attack, which occurred in the early hours of New Year’s Day, left many questioning if more attention should have been paid to domestic threats and whether warning signs were missed.

Shamsud Din Jabbar was able to plow onto Bourbon Street from Canal Street in New Orleans, in his pickup truck with an ISIS flag, because the steel barriers weren’t raised.

Trump, who has long criticized the Biden-Harris administration for its focus on issues such as social justice, climate change, and other progressive agendas, seemed to suggest that the nation’s leadership is distracted from the pressing concerns of national security and safety.

As the investigation into the attack continues, the FBI’s ongoing search for additional suspects and evidence could shed more light on whether Jabbar acted alone or with the assistance of others.

While details remain scarce, the tragedy has sparked broader concerns about the safety of American citizens and the adequacy of current efforts to combat terror threats.

Critics of Trump’s statement argue that he may be using the tragedy to push a political narrative, but the former president’s supporters view his words as a call for stronger leadership and a greater focus on protecting the country from domestic and foreign threats.

The attack in New Orleans has amplified the need for decisive action to address the growing concern over domestic terrorism and violent extremism.

As Trump prepares to take office on January 20th, the nation remains on edge, grappling with the aftermath of the horrific attack in New Orleans and the broader security challenges facing the United States.

The investigation into Jabbar’s attack is ongoing, and authorities continue to explore all leads as they work to bring those responsible to justice.
