President Donald Trump isn’t holding back his criticism of Fox News, this time taking aim at its Senior White House Correspondent, Jacqui Heinrich, as reported by Breitbart.
In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump called out Heinrich for what he described as her lackluster reporting and her cozy ties to the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA).
“I watched Jacqui Heinrich from Fox over the weekend and I thought she was absolutely terrible. She should be working for CNN, not Fox. Not surprisingly, I later found out that she’s a fan of the White House Correspondents Association!”

Trump’s remarks come as no surprise, given Heinrich’s history of hostility toward his administration.
She has openly clashed with the White House, particularly after the administration made moves to increase transparency and open access to a wider range of media outlets.

The change allowed independent and alternative media, long shut out by the WHCA, to have a voice in the White House Briefing Room—something that didn’t sit well with the establishment press.

Fox News, a longtime member of the WHCA, has been one of the select few outlets that previously enjoyed near-exclusive access to the White House.
Heinrich, clearly unhappy with the shake-up, took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her displeasure, insisting that the WHCA—not the White House—should control media access.
“This move does not give the power back to the people – it gives power to the White House. The WHCA is democratically elected by the full-time White House press corps.”
She further argued that only the WHCA should determine who covers the president, claiming the system ensures that media outlets have the necessary resources to disseminate information.

In other words, Heinrich and her club of mainstream media gatekeepers weren’t happy about losing their monopoly on White House access.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt was quick to set the record straight, clarifying that Fox News wasn’t losing its access—rather, other outlets were finally being given a fair shot.
“We will continue the rotation amongst the five major television networks to ensure the president’s remarks are heard far and wide around this world. We will add additional streaming services, which reach different audiences than traditional cable and broadcast.”
For years, the WHCA has operated as a closed-door cartel, deciding which outlets got to ask questions and which were silenced.
The Trump administration’s decision to break up that stranglehold is a win for transparency—and a loss for the mainstream media elites who thrived on controlling the narrative.
As for Heinrich, her reaction only proves what conservatives have long suspected: the establishment media isn’t interested in fairness, just in maintaining their grip on the flow of information. And judging by Trump’s assessment, she’d fit right in at CNN.
