Trump Says Voters Deserve Better Answers [VIDEO]

In her first major interview since snagging the Democratic nomination, Kamala Harris faces some serious questions, according to former President Donald J. Trump, as reported by the Daily Mail.

As she prepares to sit down with CNN’s Dana Bash, Harris needs to explain her constant flip-flopping on policies, her failure to secure the southern border, and why she requires a human shield during the interview, Trump suggests.

During a conversation with DailyMail.com from his Mar-a-Lago residence, Trump didn’t hold back. From the alleged assassination attempt against him to his plans for his first day back in office, Trump covered a lot of ground. However, he was particularly focused on the upcoming CNN interview with Harris. “What is she hiding from?” Trump asked pointedly.

“Why isn’t it live? It’s not a live interview. It’s an interview that’s going to be taped and then edited and then put out. So that’s not even an interview,” Trump criticized. “Then she’s doing it with her vice president sitting there. So she’s not very smart. When they ask her a question that she can’t answer, she’ll just look at him: You answer it.”

Trump has consistently highlighted Harris’s reluctance to engage with the media through a barrage of interviews. Meanwhile, Harris has enjoyed significant fundraising success and glowing media coverage since President Joe Biden announced he wouldn’t seek reelection.

Yet, Republicans have been quick to point out that it has been 38 days since Harris gave an on-the-record interview. That streak ends Thursday when she finally sits down with Bash, flanked by her running mate, Tim Walz.

According to Trump, Harris has used this time to reinvent herself by distancing from unpopular policies and adopting some of his own, like ending the tax on tips. “I think it’s crazy. She’s gone months without talking to the press,” Trump remarked. “She is copying—they would call it flip flopping on everything she’s believed in for the last 20 years.”

Harris’s campaign has been working hard to distance her from her previous opposition to hydraulic fracking, a method crucial to the economy in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state. She has also backpedaled on her previous stance against a border wall—a project she once dismissed as “unAmerican” and a “stupid use of money.”

Trump was quick to call out the hypocrisy. “Whether she was a czar or just in charge of the border, she was in charge of the worst border in history. I want to know what happened. Why was she doing that?” he questioned. “Then I want to know why is she now all of a sudden, two days ago, she said, No, I’d like to build a wall. After all, she was against the wall for 20 years. She fought me on the wall.”

Trump emphasized that if Harris were sincere, she could have secured the border during her term. “They had three and a half years to do it. They never did it,” he pointed out.

This, according to Trump, reveals her lack of character. “She doesn’t believe in any of this stuff, which tells you everything you need to know about her character—it’s terrible,” he concluded. “She’s so dishonest.”

Watch:

The pre-recorded CNN interview is set to air Thursday evening at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. Bash has interviewed Harris twice since she became vice president, but this one promises to be different.
