Trump Slams Biden Over Alleged Autopen Use, House Oversight Investigating [WATCH]

President Donald Trump on Saturday renewed his public criticism of former President Joe Biden following the release of audio from Biden’s interview with former Special Counsel Robert Hur.

Trump also weighed in on new allegations regarding Biden’s use of an autopen to issue presidential pardons during his final days in office.

The audio clip, first published by Axios on Friday, contains portions of Biden’s recorded interview with Hur, conducted as part of the Justice Department’s investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents.

Hur’s report, released earlier this year, described Biden’s memory as “significantly limited” and raised concerns about his mental fitness during his time in office.

The Justice Department had previously declined to release the audio publicly, prompting criticism from congressional Republicans.

On Friday, the House Oversight Committee, led by Republicans, announced it would open an inquiry into Biden’s reported use of an autopen to sign last-minute pardons before his term ended in January 2025.

GOP lawmakers argue the matter raises legal questions about presidential authority and delegation of official duties.

Trump addressed the autopen controversy and the Hur audio leak in a statement on Truth Social Saturday morning.

“Whoever had control of the ‘AUTOPEN’ is looking to be a bigger and bigger scandal by the moment,” Trump wrote.

“It is a major part of the real crime, THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN!”

Trump tied the autopen claims to broader concerns he has expressed since the 2020 election, including what he describes as a coordinated campaign by Democrats to shield the public from potential evidence of election irregularities.

He also referenced the now-defunct House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol riot, referring to its members as “THE UNSELECT COMMITTEE OF POLITICAL THUGS.” Trump alleged that those associated with the committee were “given a full and complete pardon” and accused them of deleting and destroying evidence related to their investigation into the Capitol breach.

“THE UNSELECT COMMITTEE OF POLITICAL THUGS, WHO WERE GIVEN A FULL AND COMPLETE PARDON BY THE PERSON WHO WIELDED THE NOW ILLEGALLY USED AUTOPEN, DELETED AND DESTROYED ALL EVIDENCE AND INFORMATION FROM THEIR CORRUPT AND VICIOUS WITCH HUNT AGAINST ME,” Trump said.

Trump further asserted that the autopen matter is only one part of what he called a much larger pattern of misconduct surrounding the 2020 election and the actions of federal officials.

“Remember, it all began with DIRTY COP James Comey, Obama, a hapless and cognitively impaired Sleepy Joe Biden, and my now very famous ACCUSATION that, ‘THEY SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN!’” he added.

“Whoever had control of the Autopen is just the beginning. The biggest crime of all is that THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION WAS RIGGED!”

Trump concluded the statement by reiterating his claim that he won the 2020 election and vowed that efforts to uncover misconduct would continue.

“I (MAGA!) WON THE ELECTION BY MILLIONS OF VOTES, AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT. GOD BLESS AMERICA, FOR THE FIGHT HAS JUST BEGUN!!!”

The House Oversight Committee has not yet provided a timeline for when it plans to hold hearings on the autopen matter.
