The Trump administration has officially revoked U.S. visas for British rap duo Bob Vylan after the group sparked international backlash for openly calling for violence against Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers and chanting anti-Israel slogans during a performance at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival in England, as reported by the Free Beacon.

A senior official at the U.S. State Department confirmed Monday that the group’s visas had been canceled. “Bob Vylan’s visas have been officially revoked,” the official told the Washington Free Beacon.

A second official told the Daily Wire on Sunday that “under the Trump Administration, the U.S. government will not issue visas to any foreigner who supports terrorists.”

The action follows a widely shared video showing lead vocalist Pascal Robinson-Foster chanting “Death, death to the IDF” during the group’s performance.

He also led the crowd in the slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine must be—will be, inshallah—will be free,” a phrase widely understood as a call for the elimination of the State of Israel.

The performance drew condemnation from Jewish organizations, lawmakers, and festival organizers. Glastonbury Festival issued a statement calling the performance “appalling,” stating:

“Their chants very much crossed a line and we are urgently reminding everyone involved in the production of the festival that there is no place at Glastonbury for antisemitism, hate speech, or incitement to violence.”

StopAntisemitism.org, a U.S.-based watchdog group, posted the performance video and urged U.S. officials to take immediate action. Liora Rez, the organization’s founder, applauded the Trump administration’s response.

“StopAntisemitism is determined to prevent the United States from mirroring the U.K.’s alarming normalization of institutional antisemitism,” Rez said. “We commend the State Department for acting quickly and decisively.”

Legal experts Mark Goldfeder of the National Jewish Advocacy Center and Arsen Ostrovsky of the International Legal Forum wrote to Secretary of State Marco Rubio urging the visa revocation.

“Leading chants of the phrase ‘From the River to the Sea,’ when paired with language like ‘death to the IDF,’ is readily understood as a call for the violent elimination of the State of Israel,” they wrote.

“Such behavior is only likely to inflame further hatred, legitimize terror, and put American lives at risk.”

Following the backlash, United Talent Agency dropped Bob Vylan as a client. One member of the group posted to Instagram in defiance: “I said what I said,” writing that their activism would continue across all platforms.

As of Monday, Bob Vylan’s scheduled U.S. tour has been effectively halted.
