President Donald Trump has categorically denied a report from the Wall Street Journal alleging that he sent a lewd birthday card to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003, and he announced plans to sue the publication, its parent company, and Rupert Murdoch over what he described as a “fake” and “defamatory” story.

The article, published Thursday night, claims that Trump sent Epstein a birthday note along with a scribbled drawing of a naked woman.

According to the Journal, the drawing featured a signature that read “Donald,” allegedly written on the waistline to resemble pubic hair. The photo in question was not published in the piece.

The Journal also included a transcript of what it alleged was a poem authored by Trump and sent to Epstein.

However, the authenticity of the poem and the note remains unverified, and the original material was not made public by the outlet.

In a detailed post on Truth Social, President Trump refuted the story and announced his intent to take legal action.

“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,” Trump wrote.

“Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so. The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway. President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly.”

President Trump also pointed to recent legal victories involving lawsuits against major media companies, citing examples that include CBS News and ABC News.

He referenced his dispute with CBS News over what he described as the deceptive editing of an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.

He also referenced a case against ABC News after host George Stephanopoulos referred to him as a “rapist,” which Trump said was both false and defamatory.

“It has truly turned out to be a ‘Disgusting and Filthy Rag; and, writing defamatory lies like this, shows their desperation to remain relevant,” Trump said of the Wall Street Journal.

President Trump also addressed broader efforts by political opponents and media outlets to link him to Epstein over the years.

“If there were any truth at all on the Epstein Hoax, as it pertains to President Trump, this information would have been revealed by Comey, Brennan, Crooked Hillary, and other Radical Left Lunatics years ago. It certainly would not have sat in a file waiting for ‘TRUMP’ to have won three Elections. This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS!”

The article continues to generate backlash from Trump’s supporters, many of whom are calling the claims a politically motivated smear tied to ongoing media hostility toward the President.

The legal complaint from Trump is expected to be filed against The Wall Street Journal, its parent company NewsCorp, and Rupert Murdoch in the coming days.
