President Donald Trump issued a pair of statements on Sunday night criticizing CBS and its long-running program 60 Minutes for what he described as repeated and deliberate efforts to damage his reputation through false reporting.
In two posts on Truth Social, President Trump accused the network of airing two separate “highly inaccurate stories” targeting him during Sunday night’s broadcast—one related to Ukraine and another focused on his previously stated interest in acquiring Greenland.
“I just finished watching 60 Minutes, the FAKE News Show that was scandalously responsible for REMOVING a terrible and incompetently delivered answer, by failed Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris, to an interview on 60 Minutes, just prior to Election Day, and putting in its place a completely different answer to a completely different question, in order to make Kamala look ‘coherent,’” Trump wrote.

According to Trump, the Sunday episode continued the program’s pattern of bias, adding, “Now tonight, with two separate but highly inaccurate stories about ‘TRUMP,’ they’re at it again. The people at CBS Fake News just don’t get it!”

The comments stem from a longstanding dispute between Trump and CBS over a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris that aired in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.
Trump alleges that the interview was deceptively edited to portray Harris more favorably.
CBS has not commented publicly on the specific editing decisions related to the interview.
Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS over the issue, and according to CNN, internal discussions about a possible settlement have reportedly created tension within the network.
Sources cited by CNN claimed that CBS newsroom staff were angered by reports of settlement negotiations.
Executives are said to be concerned that the lawsuit could interfere with the network’s merger talks with Skydance Media.
In Sunday’s 60 Minutes broadcast, Trump says CBS aired two stories attacking his administration’s America First policies—specifically his positions on the Ukraine conflict and the potential acquisition of Greenland, which he previously floated as a strategic interest for the United States.
In a follow-up post on Truth Social, Trump called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and its Chairman, Brendan Carr, to impose disciplinary measures on CBS.
“Almost every week, 60 Minutes, which is being sued for Billions of Dollars for the fraud they committed in the 2024 Presidential Election with their Interview of Failed Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris, mentions the name ‘TRUMP’ in a derogatory and defamatory way, but this Weekend’s ‘BROADCAST’ tops them all,” Trump stated.
“They did not one, but TWO, major stories on ‘TRUMP,’ one having to do with Ukraine, which I say is a War that would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been RIGGED, in other words, if I were President, and the other story was having to do with Greenland, casting our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately, and fraudulently.”
Trump concluded his post by saying, “They should lose their license! Hopefully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as headed by its Highly Respected Chairman, Brendan Carr, will impose the maximum fines and punishment, which is substantial, for their unlawful and illegal behavior.”

The FCC has not yet issued a public response to Trump’s demand for action.
CBS also has not released a statement regarding Sunday’s broadcast or the lawsuit.
The ongoing dispute adds to President Trump’s broader criticism of corporate media outlets, which he continues to describe as politically motivated and engaged in coordinated efforts to undermine his administration and public image.
