President Donald Trump is calling on Wisconsin voters to turn out early for the upcoming State Supreme Court election, scheduled for April 1, warning that the outcome could have far-reaching consequences for both the state and the nation.
In a post on Truth Social Friday, President Trump emphasized the importance of early voting and drew a sharp contrast between the two candidates vying for the open seat: former Wisconsin Attorney General and current Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Brad Schimel, a conservative, and Dane County Circuit Judge Susan Crawford, who has received endorsements from several progressive groups.
“Brad Schimel is running against Radical Left Liberal Susan Crawford, who has repeatedly given child molesters, rapists, women beaters, and domestic abusers ‘light’ sentences,” Trump wrote.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’
“She is the handpicked voice of the Leftists who are out to destroy your State, and our Country — And if she wins, the Movement to restore our Nation will bypass Wisconsin. All Voters who believe in Common Sense should GET OUT TO VOTE EARLY for Brad Schimel.”
Trump continued, urging early voters to play a role in defending the rule of law and protecting the Constitution.
“By turning out and VOTING EARLY, you will be helping to Uphold the Rule of Law, Protect our Incredible Police, Secure our Beloved Constitution, Safeguard our Inalienable Rights, and PRESERVE LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL,” he said. He concluded the post by stating, “SO IMPORTANT – PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Oh my gosh.
President Trump just endorsed Brad Schimel for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

The election comes at a critical time for the state’s Supreme Court, following the 2023 race in which liberal Justice Janet Protasiewicz defeated conservative Dan Kelly, flipping the balance of the court to a 4-3 liberal majority.
The retirement of liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley has created an opening that could allow conservatives to retake the majority.
Conservative activist Scott Presler warned in an interview with Breitbart News that if voters do not engage in this race, they may see a repeat of the 2023 outcome.
“I tried to warn people in 2023, and here is what I’m saying now: if Wisconsinites don’t pay attention to this race, history is going to repeat itself, and you’re going to have this court stay under Democrat control,” Presler said.
I’m afraid history is going to repeat itself.
In 2023, conservatives controlled the Wisconsin Supreme Court 4 -3 .
Unfortunately, liberal Janet Protasiewicz won the Spring election & flipped the Court to 4 -3 .

Campaign materials and voter mailers circulated across Wisconsin have described Susan Crawford as an “extreme abortion activist, not an impartial judge.”
According to Breitbart News, Crawford has received support from major Democrat-aligned donors, including billionaire George Soros.

The stakes of the election extend beyond the court itself.
With the court’s current liberal majority, Democrats are expected to push for legislative redistricting that could cost Republicans up to two U.S. House seats and shift the balance of power in state politics.
The court may also soon consider the legality of Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion law, which went back into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, but was paused in December 2023.
A Marquette University Law School poll reported earlier this month that the Wisconsin electorate remains closely divided on President Trump’s performance, with 48 percent approving and 51 percent disapproving.
Trump carried Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes in the 2024 presidential election.
Breitbart News noted that the outcome of the April 1 race could provide further insight into how Wisconsin voters are responding to President Trump’s policies in his current term and whether Republican momentum in the state will continue heading into future elections.
