Trump Will Order DOJ To Investigate Epstein’s Links To Bill Clinton, Major Banks

President Donald Trump said he will order the Justice Department to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to Bill Clinton and major financial institutions.

Trump said he’d direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to examine Epstein’s connections to the former president, other high-profile Democrats and a range of banks. Trump accused Democrats of trying to spin the leaked correspondence, writing, “Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him.”

He likened the situation to past investigations, calling it “another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam with all arrows pointing to the Democrats.”

In one email, Epstein said Trump “knew about the girls,” though he did not directly accuse him of any wrongdoing. In another, he said Trump had been to his home “many times” but “never got a massage.”

In another, Epstein, referring to Trump during his first term as president, wrote, “I am the one able to take him down,” an exchange that lacked context and occurred roughly six months before Epstein’s arrest on federal sex-trafficking charges.

Trump’s announcement follows the successful passage of a discharge petition that will enable the House to vote on the “Epstein Files Transparency Act.” The bill, introduced by Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna and cosponsored by Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, aims to refer legislation requiring the full public release of all unclassified records related to Jeffrey Epstein to the House Rules Committee.

The final signature was secured just as Democratic Arizona Rep. Adelita Grijalva was sworn in as the newest member of the House on Wednesday. Only four Republicans in the House signed the petition, compared with 214 House Democrats: Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Massie.

The House Oversight Committee is conducting a separate investigation into how the federal government managed its probe into Epstein.
