Trump’s ‘Happy Trump’ Pin Debut Sends Collectibles Market Buzzing [WATCH]

President Donald Trump once again drew media attention this month—not with policy remarks, but with a new accessory that quickly sparked interest among collectors and supporters, as reported by Fox Business.

During a White House meeting with oil and gas executives on Jan. 9, the president wore a cartoon-style lapel pin he referred to as the “Happy Trump” pin, positioned alongside his customary American flag pin. The accessory depicts Trump in a blue suit and red tie, with his mouth open and eyebrows raised.

The pin was noticed by Peter Doocy, Fox News’ senior White House correspondent, who asked the president about it during the meeting.

“You know what this is? That’s called a ‘Happy Trump,’” Trump said while displaying the pin to reporters.

“And consider the fact that I’m never happy. I’m never satisfied. I will never be satisfied until we make America great again. But we’re getting pretty close.”

According to reports, Trump has worn the same pin at least once before, including during a 2025 ceremony in which he swore in Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence.

Trump has a long history of using lapel pins as subtle visual statements. In September 2025, he wore a gold pin resembling an F-22 Raptor during a meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Reports at the time indicated the leaders discussed the F-35 Lightning II, an aircraft Turkey has sought to rejoin the program for.

Other officials close to the president have also attracted notice for their accessories. In April, Brendan Carr wore a gold lapel pin shaped like Trump’s side profile.

The pin was highlighted by conservative commentator Benny Johnson, who posted images of Carr on X.

“Do you even understand the level of fit that [Carr] has?” Johnson wrote.

Trump typically wears an American flag lapel pin, a tradition that gained prominence during the late 1960s and early 1970s under former President Richard Nixon.

The accessory later became widespread following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, when former President George W. Bush and his administration regularly wore the pin.

While the precise origin of the “Happy Trump” pin remains unclear beyond Trump’s statement that it was a gift, a wide market of Trump-themed collectibles exists.

FOX Business reported that similar pins and memorabilia are sold across platform,s including Amazon, Etsy, eBay, the White House Gift Shop, and various jewelers.

Jewelry designer Ann Hand, known for her “Liberty Eagle” and “One Country One Destiny” designs, created a custom 2025 inaugural pin honoring Trump.

The $250, non-refundable pin features mother-of-pearl surrounded by gemstones.

“We’ve done quite a few pins for Republicans and Democrats because we are totally non-partisan,” Hand told FOX Business. “We just try to tell America’s story.”

FOX Business also identified Trump-themed pins featuring “45” and “47,” campaign-style designs referencing Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, and imagery tied to the well-known photograph of Trump raising his fist after the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

A pin resembling the “Happy Trump” design appeared on Amazon for $9.99, first listed on Oct. 28, 2020, though it was marked unavailable at the time of publication.

Similar pins later appeared on eBay priced between $26.99 and $30, with additional variations emerging.

The White House Gift Shop also offers lapel pins, including a Presidential Great Eagle, a USA flag brooch, and the Great Seal of the United States.

The White House did not immediately respond to a FOX Business request for comment.
