The Department of Homeland Security reported a sharp increase in website traffic as thousands of illegal migrants accessed information on voluntary departure through the CBP Home App during the first year of President Donald Trump’s second term, as reported by Fox News.

According to DHS data first reported by Fox News Digital, traffic to the agency’s official website rose 68.49% compared with 2024.

The department said its site recorded 102 million page views and 67 million unique visitors over the past year, up from roughly 40 million page views in 2024.

One of the most visited sections of the site included information on self-deportation using the CBP Home App.

“Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS celebrated one of the most consequential periods of action and reform in American history in 2025,” a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

“From delivering the most secure border ever and removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens, to fixing disaster response and ushering in a golden age of travel, DHS will continue to build upon this success and innovate to find ways to deliver for the American people.”

DHS also announced plans to launch a redesigned website intended to improve transparency and navigation for the public.

“This redesigned website is another example of that commitment to innovation and being the most transparent administration in American history,” the spokesperson added.

The CBP Home App, launched last March under the second Trump administration, allows migrants who are in the United States illegally to voluntarily leave the country.

DHS has said tens of thousands of migrants have already used the app. The program provides a $1,000 stipend to individuals who successfully self-deport, along with financial and travel assistance to help them return to their home countries.

As part of its expanded digital outreach, DHS has also introduced new features, including a “Worst of the Worst” website that highlights the most dangerous illegal migrants apprehended by federal authorities.

The site features individuals accused or convicted of crimes such as rape, murder, and child sexual offenses.

The surge in website traffic comes as DHS highlighted what it described as historic enforcement results during Trump’s first year back in office. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said nearly 3 million illegal migrants left the United States during that period.

“In President Trump’s first year back in office, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, including an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations and more than 675,000 deportations,” Noem said.

The agency also reported that U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions over the past 12 months were the lowest in the agency’s history.

DHS said the total number of apprehensions for the year was less than the average monthly apprehensions recorded during the Biden administration.

“In the last year, fentanyl trafficking at the southern border has also been cut by more than half compared to the same period in 2024,” Noem added.

“The U.S. Coast Guard alone seized enough cocaine to kill more than 177 million Americans.”

Noem also said DHS saved taxpayers more than $13.2 billion during the same period.

Looking ahead, DHS said it plans to continue its deportation and enforcement efforts while rolling out new initiatives.

These include U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services enforcing a new rule that prioritizes the allocation of H-1B visas to higher-skilled and higher-paid foreign workers.
