Newly confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi could soon move to release long-awaited files related to Jeffrey Epstein, following growing pressure from Republican lawmakers and public demand for transparency.
Bondi, who was confirmed to her role yesterday, previously expressed frustration over the slow pace of document disclosures and indicated that she wanted to see more released.
Speaking to Fox News, Bondi stated that “the documents unsealed so far in the disgraced financier’s case have been so slow to come out.”

She also suggested that individuals named in the documents might be delaying their release through legal battles, though she argued they have no legitimate right to privacy unless they fall under specific legal protections.
“If people in that report are still fighting to keep their names private, they have no legal basis to do so unless they’re a child, a victim, or a cooperating defendant in a potential case against Ghislaine Maxwell,” Bondi said.

Republican lawmakers are also ramping up efforts to ensure the full release of Epstein’s files.
Following President Trump’s executive order to declassify all documents related to John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) have renewed their push for full transparency on Epstein’s network.
Blackburn has long advocated for the release of Epstein’s unredacted flight logs and Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘little black book’, which contains names and contacts of Epstein’s associates.
Now, she is urging Trump to act on these demands.
“Jeffrey Epstein built a disgusting global sex trafficking network that caused irreparable damage to countless women,” Blackburn told DailyMail.com.
“Americans deserve to know exactly who was affiliated with this network. This is not about celebrities—this is about what happened to victims and survivors.”
Burchett, who has also pushed for the files’ release, confirmed via text that he is “re-upping his fight for the Epstein files now that Trump is in office and Republicans hold control.”
In addition to flight logs and Maxwell’s records, Blackburn is also advocating for the release of additional evidence, including prison surveillance footage and communications leading up to Epstein’s 2019 death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York.
Trump has shown a willingness to declassify sensitive records.
On Thursday evening, he signed an executive order directing the Director of National Intelligence to release all documents related to JFK’s assassination within 15 days.
While signing the order, Trump remarked, “That’s a big one, huh?” before handing his sharpie to RFK Jr. and adding, “A lot of people have been waiting for this for years, for decades.”
The executive order, obtained by DailyMail.com, states:
“More than 50 years after the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Federal Government has not released to the public all of its records related to those events. Their families and the American people deserve transparency and truth. It is in the national interest to finally release all records related to these assassinations without delay.”
Given this precedent, many expect Trump to take a similar approach with Epstein’s case.
Public interest in Epstein’s associates remains high, as unsealed court records last year identified over 170 names connected to lawsuits against Ghislaine Maxwell.
While some were merely acquaintances, others were alleged to have been directly involved in Epstein’s network or served as potential witnesses to crimes.

Epstein, who was awaiting trial for sex trafficking, was found dead in his cell on August 10, 2019, in what was ruled a suicide.
His private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which was frequently visited by high-profile figures including Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, has been at the center of allegations of criminal activity.
Since Epstein’s death, numerous inconsistencies have emerged regarding prison surveillance and staffing procedures, fueling speculation of foul play.
With Bondi now leading the Department of Justice, and growing GOP pressure, the long-classified Epstein files may soon be made public.
