Congressional Republicans want to tackle three major parts of President Donald Trump’s policy agenda. Their success will indicate the party’s political power in Washington, which hasn’t been tested since Trump won back the White House in November.

Senate Republicans, under Majority Leader John Thune, promised to work to enact Trump’s voter mandate. After three months of Trump’s second term, neither chamber has done much to codify his executive orders. But that is reportedly all about to change. Republicans are promising a full-court press to advance Trump’s budget agenda.
