In what could easily pass for a parody of the far-left, Tracy Castro-Gill, a self-proclaimed “disabled queer Chicanx educator,” delivered a rambling diatribe during a Washington State House Committee on Education hearing.
As reported by The Daily Mail, her complaints centered on former President Donald Trump’s executive orders dismantling diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, as well as transgender protections.
Castro-Gill, a former Seattle Public School District Ethnic Studies program leader, began her speech by introducing herself with a laundry list of identity markers, stating, “My name is Dr. Tracy Castro-Gill, my pronouns are they/them. I am a disabled queer Chicanx educator and scholar in Washington state with my expertise on curriculum and instruction.”

She then launched into a tirade about the supposed “erasure” of identities like hers due to Trump’s policies.
Let’s not forget, that as Trump is taking historic action, this stuff is still rampant in schools: ‘My name is Dr. Tracy Castro-Gill, my pronouns are they/them. I am a disabled queer Chicanx educator and scholar in Washington state with my expertise on curriculum and… pic.twitter.com/oyZukFIy1h

The term “Chicanx,” a gender-neutral variation of “Chicano,” was among several woke terms targeted under Trump’s administration. Castro-Gill claimed that banning such terminology denies the “very presence and humanity” of people like her.
Drawing on Orwellian themes, she warned that limiting self-definition opens the door to fascism. Her dramatic assertions failed to impress, however, as the Democratic chairperson of the hearing, Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos, twice interrupted her, reminding her to stay on topic.
Trump’s executive orders, issued shortly after his return to office, declared:
“As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
This move, which leftists predictably labeled “controversial,” was part of his broader campaign to restore common sense to government policy.
During her testimony, Castro-Gill attempted to support a bill aimed at fostering safe school environments. However, her complaints about alleged “curriculum violence” and the supposed “erasure” of gender-expansive individuals came across as unhinged, even prompting Santos to scold her for “impugning” a Republican legislator during the hearing.
Castro-Gill’s credibility is questionable at best. Removed from her district role in 2020 after her Ethnic Studies program flopped, she also faced backlash for bizarre claims that math could be used as a tool of racism.
Adding to her controversies, she was the subject of a 2022 report by Daily Wire journalist Luke Rosiak, who revealed her marriage to a convicted child molester.

Rosiak’s investigation also exposed her estranged father’s comments, comparing her to race-faker Rachel Dolezal and accusing her of fabricating childhood hardships.
Despite these revelations, Castro-Gill continues to push her radical agenda, demanding stronger DEI protections and teacher accommodations. Whether she’s a true believer or just another woke opportunist, one thing is certain—her antics highlight the absurdity of the modern left.
