A Regional School Unit 67 board meeting in Maine was cut short Wednesday night after escalating tensions between a social media figure and board members led to a physical confrontation and police intervention.

The incident began when Tim Bodnar, a social media personality known online as the “Truth-slinger,” confronted the board over a teacher who was recently placed on leave.

The teacher, whose name has not been released, is under investigation for comments made about the killing of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Bodnar, who has tens of thousands of followers online, repeatedly disrupted the meeting.

After delivering a prayer, he condemned the teacher, accusing the district of allowing “communist propaganda” in classrooms.

Raising his voice, he demanded the board take immediate action against the teacher.

Board Chair Dianne Buck attempted to maintain order, striking her gavel several times.

“You can bang that all you want, lady,” Bodnar responded, dismissing her calls to follow procedure.

Buck then called a recess, but upon reconvening, Bodnar again raised his voice.

“I demand counseling for the kids who were hurt by Charlie Kirk’s death that (the teacher) dissed,” Bodnar said.

“He can have free speech, he just can’t have a job on taxpayer money!”

The comment drew applause from the audience.

The situation escalated further as Bodnar directed personal criticism toward Buck.

“You’re a foul, evil woman! You’re a coward!” he shouted.

Board member Andrew Funaro interjected in defense of Buck.

“Don’t you insult that woman!” Funaro said.

“Why not?” Bodnar asked.

“Because she’s doing the best she can, and you don’t know what we think,” Funaro replied. “We haven’t made a decision yet.”

“You should have made a decision when you found out!” Bodnar shouted back.

“We found out on Friday,” Funaro responded.

“We’re doing the best we can.”

“It’s too slow,” Bodnar countered.

“The world is moving on way too fast for you, old man!”

The meeting recessed again.

When the board returned, they attempted to move forward with regular business, including committee and student reports.

At that point, another man began speaking out of turn, prompting police officers in the room to intervene and escort him out.

Bodnar, meanwhile, filmed the interaction on his phone.

As the board tried to continue, Bodnar again interrupted, directing comments at Funaro.

“You know I’m right, sir,” he said.

“I do not know you’re right!” Funaro shot back.

“You should go back down south and get some more clicks on your little YouTube. Isn’t that what this is about?”

Moments later, the confrontation boiled over.

Bodnar stood in front of Funaro, recording him with his phone.

In response, Funaro slapped the phone from Bodnar’s hand, prompting a loud reaction from the crowd.

Police immediately stepped in to separate the two men.

With tensions high, the board voted by a show of hands to adjourn the meeting.

Afterward, Bodnar posted on social media, describing the altercation as a personal victory.

“PROUDEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE RIGHT THERE,” he wrote alongside a video of the exchange.

“The Holy Spirit of GOD indwelt me… I dropped my arms and let God fight my battle. Funaro withered in the presence of a REAL MAN.”

In another post, Bodnar criticized the school district and the town of Lincoln.

“Lots of people afraid… not just me…” he wrote.

“RSU#67 is a JOKE. The Town of Lincoln isn’t looking too good at the moment either. No replies to my FOAA requests for all communications between Brewer, Krause, the SB and Town Council.”

The district has not released further comment.

The investigation into the teacher’s remarks about Kirk remains ongoing.
