Two U.S. Vets Injured by Hamas Grenades While Delivering Food in Gaza [WATCH]

Two American veterans working with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) were injured in a grenade attack while delivering food aid in Gaza, according to statements from the organization and U.S. and Israeli officials.

Both individuals, described by GHF as “highly decorated” veterans, are receiving medical care and are reportedly in stable condition.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which is supported by both the United States and Israel, issued a statement on X confirming the attack.

The organization said it had previously warned of credible threats from Hamas, including specific plans to target American and Palestinian personnel, as well as civilians who rely on the aid distribution sites.

“GHF has repeatedly warned of credible threats from Hamas, including explicit plans to target American personnel, Palestinian aid workers, and the civilians who rely on our sites for food. Today’s attack tragically affirms those warnings,” the foundation said.

Following the incident, GHF posted a photo showing grenade fragments that had been packed with ball bearings.

These are fragments of a grenade packed with ball bearings, two of which were thrown by Hamas at American aid workers delivering food in Gaza.

The group said two attackers used the grenades before fleeing into a crowd of civilians.

GHF Executive Chairman Rev. Johnnie Moore stated that the grenades were of Iranian origin and have been “commonly used by Hamas.”

In a separate post, Moore criticized both the media and international institutions, writing, “I am sorry to say also that today’s terror attack on Americans is partly a byproduct of the legitimacy that many in the press and at the [U.N.] provide to Hamas — amplifying Hamas’s lies about GHF every day, but also actively collaborating with Hamas.”

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee condemned the assault, saying, “With Hamas no good deed goes unpunished.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also addressed the incident.

Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani, the IDF’s international spokesperson, said troops facilitated the safe evacuation of the injured veterans for further treatment.

“The Hamas terrorist organization and other terrorist groups in Gaza continue efforts to sabotage and fail the distribution of humanitarian aid at the distribution sites and on the way to them,” Shoshani said in a statement.

“IDF troops facilitated a safe evacuation for further medical treatment. The Hamas terrorist organization and other terrorist groups in Gaza continue to harm the Gazan civilians.”

GHF issued a sharp rebuke of what it described as international inaction and silence regarding ongoing threats against its workers.

“For weeks, we warned this would happen. We asked the aid community to condemn threats. They stayed silent. We asked the media to stop laundering Hamas lies. They kept printing. Today, Hamas followed through by attacking American veterans with grenades as they delivered food. The silence is deafening. At what point is allowing Hamas to terrorize aid workers and run a propaganda campaign through Western media no longer acceptable?” the organization said.

The attack occurred one week after GHF reported that Hamas had placed bounties on its personnel.

According to GHF, the terror group offered financial rewards for the killing or injuring of both American and Palestinian workers associated with the foundation.

“We are aware of credible reports that Hamas is openly targeting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and those who work with us.

According to these reports, Hamas has placed bounties on both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers, offering cash rewards to anyone who injures or kills them,” GHF said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

GHF stated that those targeted “are heroes who are simply trying to feed the people of Gaza in the middle of a war.”

As of July 4, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said it had delivered more than 60 million meals since beginning operations in May.

Despite the threats, the organization said it remains committed to its mission of providing food and assistance to civilians in Gaza.
