Whitney Risner, wife of Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dalton Risner, has publicly criticized Detroit Lions fans for inappropriate behavior during games, including rude comments and unwelcome interactions.
AWFUL: Vikings OL Dalton Risner’s wife said she was “TOUCHED” by Lions fans and heckled throughout last night’s game.
LB Blake Cashman’s girlfriend claimed Detroit fans were “wishing injuries on opposing players.”

Risner shared her experiences in a video posted on social media, describing incidents at games last season and during the recent matchup between the Vikings and the Lions.
“Last year, I wore a flashy purple jacket, and I’ve never been heckled so much at an away game,” Risner said, recounting her visit to Detroit as a Vikings fan.
She detailed her experience at a more recent game, saying, “Little did I know that I would be heckled, touched, and called names at last night’s game by Detroit fans.”
Risner expressed her frustration, emphasizing that the behavior was a result of her allegiance to the Vikings.

Risner wasn’t the only one to speak out against Lions fans.
Taylor Saunders, who is dating Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman, also criticized Detroit fans.
Saunders claimed she overheard fans wishing injuries on Vikings players during the game.
Both women highlighted a pattern of hostility from Lions fans that has drawn attention online.
The Detroit Lions, despite a strong season this year, have a long-standing reputation for being among the more difficult fanbases in the NFL.
In multiple rankings, Lions fans are often placed in the bottom five of NFL fan behavior.
This year, the Lions have had a historic run, finishing the season as the No. 1 seed in their division.
It marks back-to-back division titles for the team, a feat they haven’t achieved since the 1950s.
Last year’s division title, secured with a win over the L.A. Rams, ended a 31-year drought for Detroit.
However, the team remains one of four NFL franchises—alongside the Browns, Jaguars, and Texans—that have never reached the Super Bowl.
With the playoffs approaching, tensions between Lions and Vikings fans may not be over.
Depending on playoff results, the two teams could face each other again this season.
The prospect of a rematch is likely to keep emotions running high on both sides.
As the conversation about fan behavior continues, the experiences shared by Risner and Saunders shed light on the challenges faced by players’ families and supporters in hostile environments.
Whether this will lead to changes in fan conduct at future games remains to be seen.
