Actor Vince Vaughn met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Good Friday, following his attendance at a prayer service held at the U.S. Capitol.

The visit marks another public interaction between the Hollywood star and the president, highlighting Vaughn’s continued engagement with conservative circles.

Vaughn, known for his roles in films such as Wedding Crashers, Old School, and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, posed for a photo with President Trump inside the Oval Office.

The image, released by the White House, was captioned “White House Crashers,” referencing the 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers, where Vaughn starred alongside Owen Wilson as a pair of Washington bachelors who crash weddings.

The actor’s appearance in the White House followed his participation in a Good Friday prayer service at the U.S. Capitol.

Reverend Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, posted a photo of himself with Vaughn on the Capitol steps, noting the actor had attended the event with his family.

“I bumped into Vince Vaughan [sic] at our Good Friday service at the United States Capiitol [sic]. He was here with his family. Such a friendly and warm person,” Rev. Mahoney wrote on X.

Mahoney added that Vaughn told him, “God bless you” and “Keep up the good work.”

This is not the first time Vaughn and President Trump have been seen together.

In January 2020, during Trump’s first term, Vaughn was spotted speaking with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between LSU and Clemson.

While Vaughn has largely stayed away from vocal political commentary in his public appearances, he has acknowledged his conservative views in past interviews.

In a 2013 interview with Politico Magazine, Vaughn responded “I do, yeah,” when asked if he considers himself a conservative.

“I’m very supportive of Ron Paul, but I’ve always been, you know, more conservative than not,” Vaughn said at the time.

He also expressed concern over the role of government, stating, “I think that when you get older, you just get less trust in the government running anything.

And that you start to realize when you really go back and look at the Constitution and the principles of liberty, the real purpose of government is to protect the individual’s right to sort of think and pursue what they have interest in.”

In addition to his political views, Vaughn has been a longtime advocate of the Second Amendment.

His latest appearance at the Capitol and visit to the White House further solidify his place as one of the few major Hollywood figures to maintain a visible relationship with President Trump and openly express conservative beliefs.

The meeting between Vaughn and Trump came amid Easter weekend observances and followed a day marked by faith-based reflection at the U.S. Capitol.

No formal statements were issued by the White House regarding the meeting beyond the released photo.
