A TikTok video posted by a Somali-American man has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention for its explicit language and remarks directed at Americans, welfare programs, and the federal government.

The video has circulated rapidly across platforms, prompting renewed debate over immigration, public assistance, and cultural tensions.

In the video, the creator directly addresses viewers while boasting about government benefits and attacking Americans with racial slurs.

The video has been cited by conservative commentators as an example of what they argue are the consequences of failed immigration policies and cultural integration.

Conservative radio host and political commentator Steve Deace addressed the video while discussing how his own views on immigration evolved over time, particularly among Christians who support open-border policies.

Deace said that earlier in his life, when he was a new Christian and beginning his political career, he struggled with how to reconcile immigration policy with his faith.

He described frequently engaging with people who supported expansive immigration policies, including religious leaders and business figures, who framed immigration primarily as a humanitarian issue.

“They would peddle the argument that ‘these are just people that want to have a track at life,’” Deace said.

Deace recounted an experience from that period when he allowed an illegal immigrant to appear on his radio show.

“I could see myself falling into this to the point that one day, I let them put one of their illegal aliens on my show,” he said.

According to Deace, the individual was attending the University of Iowa, which he described as “a very prestigious public university in the Midwest, if not America.” Deace said the discussion initially took on a sympathetic tone until he posed a specific question.

He asked the guest what he would say to parents of Iowa students whose children were denied admission to Iowa State University because the seat had been given to him instead.

Deace said the response mirrored the sentiment expressed in the viral Somali TikTok video.

In Deace’s recounting, the guest argued that the United States was illegitimate and owed him restitution.

“Well, you guys stole this land from the Injuns. It’s an illegitimate country. I don’t feel any guilt and remorse whatsoever. And you’ve been raping the Latin world and third world ever since. So, you owe me,” the man said.

Deace said that moment marked a turning point for him.

“At that moment, the ‘scales [fell] off’ my eyes,” he said, recalling his reaction during a break in the program.

“I’m sitting there saying to myself during the break, ‘I just let these people work me over.’ Absolutely just worked me over. That’ll never happen again.”

Today, Deace says his views are guided by his reading of Scripture rather than assumptions about religious obligations related to immigration. He pointed to biblical passages he believes contradict modern arguments for open borders.

“Let’s open up the word of God and see what it actually says,” Deace said.

“And I’m reading Nehemiah. There’s mass deportations. They’re building walls. God is punishing his people for not keeping boundary stones. I think the first judgment after Noah’s flood is the Tower of Babel. And God’s like, ‘Nope, you guys do not get to come together as one nebulous, globalist glob. We’re not doing that here.’”

Deace argued that years of Christians embracing open-border interpretations have led to current social tensions, which he says are exemplified by the viral TikTok video. “Now it’s just in your face,” he said.

He also described what he believes is the attitude of many illegal immigrants toward Americans and elected officials.

“We will pee on you and tell you it’s raining,” Deace said.

“In fact, while we’re peeing on you and you know we’re peeing on you and you can smell the urine in the air, we’re going to keep just telling you it’s raining. We’re going to laugh at you because we have no fear of you whatsoever. None. We have no fear of your politicians.”
