A young boy was rescued Saturday evening after being spotted walking nearly 100 feet above the ground on a suspended monorail track inside Hersheypark in Pennsylvania, according to park officials and eyewitness video.

The incident was captured on TikTok and quickly spread online, showing the child balancing on the slim metal track as bystanders below shouted instructions and waved their arms, attempting to direct him toward safety.

Guests in the video can be heard calling out conflicting directions in panic.

At one point, a man climbed onto a nearby roof to intercept the child.

As the boy made his way across the track, voices in the crowd urged him forward.

“Go to him now!” one person shouted.

The man then bent down and reached for the boy, pulling him to safety. Applause and cheers followed as the child was secured.

In a statement, Hersheypark confirmed that the boy was later reunited with his parents.

The park said the incident occurred after the child was reported missing shortly after 5 p.m.

“We are grateful for the vigilance of our guests and the swift response of our team, and we remain committed to maintaining the highest levels of guest safety throughout Hersheypark,” the statement read.

According to park officials, the monorail was not in operation at the time, and a barricaded turnstile was in place to restrict access to the track.

It remains unclear how the child managed to climb onto the structure.

The boy’s identity has not been released, and no injuries were reported following the ordeal.

Hersheypark did not specify whether additional safety measures would be implemented in response to the incident but reiterated that guest safety is its top priority.

The video of the rescue prompted wide reaction online, with many viewers expressing relief that the boy was unharmed while also raising questions about security protocols at the park.

One TikTok user, @Maruo Bekhit, wrote, “Hersheypark, you gotta do better #hersheypark.”

Local authorities have not announced any investigation, and Hersheypark has not commented on whether security procedures will be reviewed.

The monorail ride remained closed after the incident.

The event marked a rare safety scare for the popular Pennsylvania amusement park, which attracts thousands of visitors each weekend during the summer months.

Hersheypark emphasized in its statement that the boy was quickly reunited with his parents and credited both guests and staff with helping ensure a safe outcome.
