Walz Faces Growing Calls to Resign as Minnesota Fraud Scandals Explode [WATCH]

Journalist Liz Collin said Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is facing intensified calls to resign as questions continue to mount over fraud in the state and decisions made during his administration.

Collin said Walz has made a series of moves in recent years that have drawn scrutiny, particularly surrounding how the state handles fraud investigations.

“You know, it’s interesting. He’s made quite, quite a few maneuvers that are questionable, I would say, over these last years now,” Collin said.

“Reporting appointing, I should say, a fraud czar, but he closed at the statewide level an office that investigated fraud for many years or questions about that.”

Collin said that decision has only added to concerns as Minnesota has become the focus of multiple federal investigations related to welfare fraud.

“This has only renewed the call for Governor Tim Walz to resign,” Collin said.

“He is currently running for a third term as governor, but this has really ramped up under his watch the last seven years, all of this fraud exploding onto the national scene.”

According to Collin, the scale of the problem has attracted attention from federal authorities.

“There. I think it’s five or six federal investigations that have now been announced in Minnesota from SNAP or welfare fraud,” she said.

Collin also pointed to additional controversies involving state cooperation with federal officials and issues related to licensing.

“The state doesn’t want to give that over our voter rolls. Minnesota doesn’t want to hand that over to the Feds illegal immigrants having commercial driver’s licenses here,” Collin said.

Collin noted that President Donald Trump has publicly criticized Walz over the situation, accusing him of allowing widespread fraud to take hold in the state.

“In fact, President Trump saying that that walls has turned Minnesota into a fraudulent hub of money laundering activity,” Collin said.

“Those are the President’s words.”

Collin said the combination of federal investigations, policy decisions, and criticism from national leaders has intensified pressure on Walz as he seeks another term in office.
