I am making assumptions here – and probably casting aspersions as well – but it seems to me that the once semi-respected and revered Washington Post (that’s the ‘newspaper,’ not a light pole) has been off its game lately.
Here’s where my questioning of their good ‘journalistic’ intentions comes in. I don’t think whoever is vetting what makes it into the paper cares about either veracity or quality, as long as what’s being printed smacks out either at Israel or Trump.
It can be all smack and get printed, as long as it’s salacious, inflammatory, and leaves a mark until (or if) they have to correct or retract – aka delete – it.
Case in point with Israel was their recent blood libel over the ‘massacre’ at the ‘controversial’ Gaza food distribution sites now run exclusively by Israel and US contractors.
The editorial OOPS added days later was an absolute hoot, citing, of all things, WaPo’s ‘fairness standards.’
Correction: We’ve deleted the post below because it and early versions of the article didn’t meet Post fairness standards.

…The background: Early versions of the article on Sunday stated that Israeli troops had killed more than 30 people near a U.S. aid site in Gaza, with the headline attributing the action to “health officials.”
The article failed to make clear if attributing the deaths to Israel was the position of the Gaza health ministry or a fact verified by The Post. The article and headline were updated on Sunday evening making it clear that there was no consensus about who was responsible for the shootings and that there was a dispute over that question.
While statements from Israel that it was unaware of injuries and that an initial inquiry indicated its soldiers didn’t fire at civilians near the site were included in all versions, The Post didn’t give proper weight to Israel’s denial and gave improper certitude about what was known about any Israeli role in the shootings. The early versions fell short of Post standards of fairness and should not have been published in that form.
Right.
Even the Hamas-loving BBC managed to do the slightest bit of investigative work and discredited the same video WaPo used as evidence of the IDF massacring hungry Gazans.
WINKWINK NUDGENUDGE SAY NO MORE, SAY NO MORE
But, man, do they ever have it in for Trump, and apparently, what it costs them in reputation and dignity is immaterial to the thrill of thinking they scored.
Is it related to bile over his continued successes in spite of their underhanded attacks?
I mean, they have to be concerned to some extent. Look how their purloined Pulitzers hang in the balance because the man won’t let them rest on their dirty laurels.
Wow! Trump scores a win in the next stage of his Pulitzer Prize lawsuit against the NYT and WaPo for their Russia hoax reporting.
Incredible they don’t admit it was bogus and return the prize. Once prestigious, Pulitzers are totally discredited. pic.twitter.com/FODunja3l9— Miranda Devine (@mirandadevine) May 31, 2025
Gotta suck to be them.
WAAH!
Which is why they fret mightily about the few people who still subscribe to their little rag being discommoded in any capacity by the Bad Orange Man.
Life on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket has been disrupted after migrant workers were shackled and boarded onto Coast Guard boats, igniting fear among undocumented workers who form the backbone of the islands’ workforce. https://t.co/rTUwnuCSO0

WAAH!
It’s also why, when the WaPo lashes out at Trump like some over-emotional pre-menstrual teen who left her Pamprin in the bathroom drawer in a mad rush for the middle school bus, the paper comes off so badly.
It’s increasingly as if some horrible, emotionally immature, vindictive, Trump-deranged toddler has been given the keys to the op-ed keyboards and told to release their inner TDS Teletubbies.
Then the WaPo gleefully publishes these lunatic scribbles as if they were ‘content.’
Behold the TDS-inspired evidence from last Friday.
Okay. This is guaranteed to appeal to the confirmation bias of every hardcore WaPo reader, hopefully inflame the ardor of the more active Trump haters in that tiny circle, and encourage any activists to use the article as ‘proof’ that Trump is every bit the monster progressives claim he is.
LET ME QUOTE AN ARTICLE IN FRIDAY’S WASHINGTON POST – WAAH!
The problem with the op-ed is the fact that it’s an easily disproven lie.
He’s obviously not. WaPo’s cheap shot is immediately debunked by Trump’s own cabinet and closest advisors. The people around the WaPo’s monster, whom the American people see and hear every day, and whom the WaPo completely ignored in this defamatory smear job, are in point of fact a rainbow coalition unlike any previous administration.
It ain’t hard.
The Secretaries of State and Labor are Latinos, the HUD secretary is black, the DNI is a female Pacific Islander, the Treasury Secretary is gay, the education, Ag, & DHS secretaries are women, as are the AG, chief of staff, and head of Small Biz Admin.
That’s just the cabinet. pic.twitter.com/la6iFIiwNj

Everyone can rattle off at least three Trump staff members who blow this to bits right off the top of their heads.
I’m sorry.
They’re trying so hard, and it just cracks me up.

I do not understand at all the willingness to continually debase oneself and one’s previously respected position to this extent.
Friday’s ‘op-ed’ was crushed like a bug immediately. The paper looks asinine for publishing what’s clearly falsehoods for a cheap flame job, and to what end?
Yo, dudes – we know you don’t like the guy, but even the National Enquirer had some grain of truth in their stories.
The WaPo is fast becoming a Weekly World News type ‘Bat Boy Bites Hillary‘ scandal rag, so rapidly are they leaving their storied past behind them in the rush to draw Trump blood at any cost.
It’s damn near time to call a waahmbulance.
We could have a coder on our hands at any time now.
