Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director and current Border Czar Tom Homan responded Tuesday night to recent threats made by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), following the arrest and charging of a Democratic lawmaker for allegedly interfering with federal immigration enforcement operations.
During an appearance on The Ingraham Angle with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Homan addressed Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s prior comments warning of “consequences” if Trump administration officials laid “a finger” on any Democrat lawmakers attempting to obstruct ICE.
“Remember just a couple weeks ago, AOC went on social media saying if we put a finger on any of her co-workers — Congresspeople that were at our Newark facility — there would be consequences,” Homan said.
“Well, guess what? We did it. I’m waiting on the consequences.”

Trump’s Sovereign Wealth Fund: What Could It Mean For Your Money?
Homan’s remarks come after the arrest of Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), who was charged earlier this month with assaulting and impeding federal officers during a confrontation outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey.
This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year
Video footage reportedly shows McIver physically confronting officers by swinging her arms at them while attempting to interfere with the agency’s operations.
In a previous social media video, Ocasio-Cortez had warned that any action against Democratic lawmakers involved in such incidents would be met with backlash.
“You lay a finger on someone, on Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, on Representative … on any of the other representatives that were there, you lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
AOC is ramping up her rhetoric.
She says if the DOJ lays a finger on any of the representatives who stormed an ICE facility then “we are going to have a problem.”
Goes on to say, “they can’t come for all of us”.

Homan, unfazed by the rhetoric, dismissed the threat with sarcasm. “I’m extremely intimidated,” he joked, later adding that the New York congresswoman was “full of” something he did not elaborate on.
He reiterated that federal agencies would continue to pursue legal action when lawmakers obstruct immigration enforcement.
“When you cross that line, we will ask the Attorney General to prosecute, and that’s what we’re doing,” Homan said.

The case involving McIver marks a rare but highly publicized example of a sitting member of Congress being charged with physically impeding federal agents.
Since the incident, several Democratic lawmakers have expressed support for McIver and indicated they plan to continue engaging in similar protests—even if it leads to legal consequences.
Rep. LaMonica McIver can clearly be seen throwing a punch at DHS here and then shoving them.
This is violent and criminal behavior.
LaMonica is not above the law.
Now she’s charged.

In response to these efforts, Homan stated that ICE would intensify its enforcement efforts in jurisdictions that adopt sanctuary policies or attempt to block immigration enforcement actions.
“The [Nashville] mayor is no different,” Homan said, referring to Mayor Freddie O’Connell, who is currently under investigation for allegedly aiding and abetting illegal immigrants.
“Look, I’ve said from day one, you cannot cooperate with ICE if that’s what you want to do, but you can’t get in our way, and you can’t impede our efforts. Or you cross that line, we will seek prosecution.”
.@RealTomHoman: I plan on going to Nashville in the near future… Everybody that wants to push back against ICE, we’re going to pay a lot of attention to them… if you’re going to support criminal aliens walking the street, then we know there’s a problem there. https://t.co/UKylNTe1AL pic.twitter.com/Hxjsmdnmb0

Tom Homan Calls AOC’s Bluff: ‘
O’Connell’s case follows a broader strategy reportedly being adopted by the Department of Justice under President Trump’s second term, aimed at pursuing legal action against local officials who obstruct immigration enforcement.
As of this week, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has not publicly commented on McIver’s arrest or provided further remarks regarding her earlier warning.
With charges filed and legal proceedings underway, Homan’s message was clear: elected officials are not above the law.
