Unlike some critics of Islam, I don’t assume that the violent passages in the Koran are necessarily proof that civilizations with majority Muslim populations will necessarily be barbaric.
There are plenty of passages in the Bible that, if taken literally, justify atrocious behavior, but Judeo-Christian societies have become very civilized. Conversely, there have been periods of time where Christian-dominated societies were rather barbaric, and some Muslim dominated cultures have been advanced.

But let’s face it, Islam in the late 20th and 21st centuries has been the source of extraordinary barbarism, and Muslim immigrants as a class–not in all individual cases by any means–have not exactly been model citizens. When you hear of a terrorist act, the first thing that comes to mind is that a Muslim committed it, just as one assumes that a radical leftist likely committed a mass shooting or assassination.

Keir Starmer has been given the nickname “Two-tier Keir” because his government’s policies create one set of rules for Christians and non-Muslims and another for Muslims. This accusation is entirely accurate, no matter what the Labour Party claims. I don’t doubt that individual Muslims can be patriots in Western societies, good citizens, and contributors to society. Of course they can and have. The same is true of many individual Palestinians who have emigrated to Western countries, many of whom become engineers and valuable members of their community.

But as a class–as a cultural group–Muslims (and Palestinians) have been a terrible addition to our societies. Those who retain their home cultures bring poison to our lands.
