Gracious, sometimes it’s just so nice to have something cheerful to end the day with, and man, am I lucky with that this evening.

Let me add, it’s always a hoot to see Trump at his most relaxed and thoroughly enjoying himself, and now here he is, doing exactly that, two days in a row.

Yesterday was just a wonderful event at the White House – a massive reception celebrating Black History Month.

Nothing to see here. Just a bunch of beautiful people at the Black History month event at President Donald Trump’s White House. Would love an opportunity like that during his term 🇺🇸🙏🏿pic.twitter.com/DNAWzMLCmd

And, boy, everyone was in a great mood.

I didn’t realize it was the 100th anniversary. Trust Trump to know.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: “I want to thank you all and welcome you to the White House on this very special occasion… we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Black History Month — that’s a big deal.”pic.twitter.com/VFeJbroCaz

There were so many wonderful moments with speakers. The White House Pardon Czar, a fabulous lady named Alice Marie Johnson, had me sniffling.

…Alice Marie Johnson isn’t a politician. She’s a grandmother who served 22 years in federal prison for a non-violent drug offense before receiving clemency in 2018.

Her sentence was commuted by President Trump after national attention brought her case forward. Since then, she’s become a leading voice for criminal justice reform and second chances.

“This President brought me from the prison pit to the White House…”

Today she speaks about redemption, mercy, faith, and the power of executive clemency; a story that stretches from a prison cell to a White House podium.

You might remember her story from 2018 when President Trump commuted her sentence.

This is her now.

AND WHEN I MET HER, I FELL IN LOVE

That smoothie.

THE FEELING WAS MUTUAL – I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN

Aw, dang.

A small business owner sang the praises of ‘no tax on tips.’

She said President Trump had been an ‘amazing blessing for her business.’

Then a real pistol of a ‘grandma’ came to the podium. One who had such a sad story to share, but her enthusiasm and 1000W personality won everyone’s heart.

Forlesia ‘Grandma’ Cook lost her grandson to a murder and was there to thank the President for his efforts in the capital.

“Nobody cared about the murder of my grandson except for Trump’s people”

“I love him! I don’t want hear nothing about that racist stuff, I’m standing up here for a man who deserves to be stood up for”

What a good time, and you could see that Trump was enjoying himself immensely with everyone.

NEW: HUD Secretary Scott Turner just delivered a powerful Black History Month message thanking President Trump and Dr. Ben Carson for helping unite the country, giving glory to God, and reminding Americans that faith, family, and opportunity bring people together.

…This is leadership that doesn’t divide by race it unites by values

Today it almost looks as if Trump was tempted to slide into his campaign McDonald’s apron and get behind the drive-thru window again when he stopped into the world-famous Varsity hotdog shop in Rome, Georgia.

There weren’t any of those instantly recognizable ‘Whadday have, whaddaya have?!’ shouts that I could hear, but everyone sure looked tickled to have the president come in.

The warm welcome wasn’t just the deepfryers being on.

After meeting everyone, he told them he was going to pick up hamburgers for Air Force One before he left – he had a campaign podcast for some Georgia congressional candidates to do first – so get ready for a big order.

They were up for it.

He did a little ‘no tax on tips’ cheerleading, too.

“She’s worked here for almost 50 years! You paid tax for all of those years on those tips, right?… not anymore.” ❤️ pic.twitter.com/1YYvToob1J

Fun, fun, fun.

What a good way to end the day.

And now I’m hungry.

WHADDALL I HAVE?

Moar, please.
