A new change to LinkedIn has sparked a wave of reactions after the White House’s official account updated its profile picture to display President Donald Trump, as reported by Joe Hoft.

The update means that anyone who lists “White House” employment on their profile—whether they served under Trump, former president Joe Biden, or prior administrations—now has Trump’s image automatically displayed as part of their work history.

The adjustment, first noticed this week, quickly drew responses across social media. Former staffers who worked in the White House between 2021 and 2025 under Biden saw their professional profiles updated to include President Trump’s picture alongside their job listings.

A White House spokesperson, Steven Cheung, responded to questions about the change, saying, “That’s the point, dummy.”

Screenshots circulating online show a range of LinkedIn profiles from individuals who worked in Democratic administrations now featuring Trump’s image. The update has been particularly visible for those who previously highlighted service during the Biden years.

“If you worked for the White House in the past, and it’s on your profile, people see Trump’s face,” one observer noted on social media.

BREAKING: The White House on LinkedIn has changed their profile picture to Donald Trump, so even the people who worked for BIDEN from 2021-2025 have Trump’s face on their profile. Liberals HATE IT.

The change applies universally to the LinkedIn platform, as company pages control the logos and profile images that display when employees link their work experience.

With the White House account now set to display Trump’s photo, staff from across multiple administrations have seen their listings updated.

Critics online expressed frustration, while supporters of the move shared screenshots and celebrated the shift.

Some pointed out that the updated display highlights the continuity of the White House as an institution, while others argued it amounts to political trolling given the visible change to past Democratic staff profiles.

The White House LinkedIn page now reflects Trump as the sitting president, covering both current staffers and alumni of previous administrations who use the platform for professional networking.

The update comes as President Trump continues to emphasize his role in reshaping federal institutions and reclaiming influence across government platforms since returning to office in January 2025.
