In a recent segment on CNN, Karoline Leavitt made a compelling case against Vice President Kamala Harris as a candidate of change, attributing much of the Biden administration’s failures directly to her.
According to Leavitt, Harris has played a significant role in the policies that have led to the current economic and border crises.
Leavitt didn’t mince words when she asserted that Harris’s association with “Bidenomics” has led to the worst inflation crisis in a generation. “Kamala Harris said she was proud of Bidenomics, which has ushered the worst inflation crisis in a generation,” Leavitt pointed out.

The vice president’s role as the administration’s so-called “border czar” was another focal point of Leavitt’s criticism. She highlighted Harris’s responsibility in what she described as an “open border policy” that allowed over 11 million illegal immigrants into the country, sparking a “migrant crime epidemic.”

Contrasting this with former President Donald Trump’s record, Leavitt emphasized that Trump secured the border and boosted domestic energy production during his term. “Unlike Kamala Harris, President Trump has a strong record in his first term as president, where he secured the border, unleashed the might of our energy industry, ushered peace around this world,” Leavitt said, drawing a clear line between the two administrations.
John Berman challenged Leavitt’s statements, noting that domestic energy production is currently at an all-time high and that Harris was never officially named the border czar.
However, Leavitt stood her ground, reiterating that Harris was indeed appointed by President Biden to handle border issues. She dismissed concerns about Trump’s age, asserting that “this race is not about age. It’s about confidence,” and that Trump has proven himself to be a leader who can restore stability both at home and abroad.
Leavitt’s arguments resonate deeply with a broader and increasingly vocal sentiment among conservative voters who, despite Trump’s age, continue to view him as a steadfast figure of stability and strength. They believe he is uniquely equipped to tackle the critical issues plaguing the nation.
Leavitt emphasized this point, saying, “Voters trust Donald Trump on those issues. They trust him because he, again, has a first-term record to stand on.”
As Berman attempted to steer the conversation in a different direction, Leavitt remained resolute, reinforcing her stance with unwavering clarity. In her view, Kamala Harris is far from being the candidate of change that the left claims she is, and she certainly is not deserving of a promotion to the presidency. Instead, Leavitt argued, Harris is more deserving of a “demotion” due to her significant role in what she described as the administration’s repeated failures over the past four years. This, Leavitt suggested, is the reality that voters need to recognize as they head to the polls.
