Woke Rep. Crockett Claims GOP Voters Are Secretly Crushing on Her Senate Bid [WATCH]

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Texas Democrat who has raised her national profile through frequent media appearances, said she believes Republican voters in Texas would support her in a general election, making the claim during a recent interview on MS NOW with host Michael Steele.

Crockett appeared on the network’s program and was asked directly whether she thought Republican voters could be persuaded to back her candidacy.

Steele asked, “Do you think Republicans, when you get to a general election, can be convinced that you are the representative they need in Washington?”

Crockett responded affirmatively.

“Oh, absolutely. Now, Michael, you can maybe talk about this a little bit more because I think the Democrats have a perception of what Republicans want,” she said.

“And I think that, you know, what the real is. I think that Republicans aren’t looking for somebody that is Republican lite. They can just go and get the real thing. What they want is somebody that they know who they are.”

Crockett claimed she has received direct messages from Republican voters expressing support.

“So I have text messages from Republicans that have made it clear that if there is a certain person that ends up making it through, they are absolutely voting for me because they know who I am,” she said.

She continued by comparing Republican and Democratic voters’ expectations of candidates.

“And so that’s why we can understand. When Republicans went out and voted for a less than perfect candidate in Donald Trump, they don’t seek perfection, whereas Democrats typically do,” Crockett said.

Crockett’s comments came as she continues to build a higher public profile and as scrutiny has increased over her campaign finances.

According to a recent report by Fox News, Crockett spent more than $120,000 on luxury hotels, transportation, and private security during 2025 while preparing and launching her U.S. Senate campaign in Texas.

The Fox News report, citing Federal Election Commission filings, stated that Crockett spent just over $124,000 from her House and Senate campaign accounts on high-end lodging, transportation services, and security over the course of the year.

The filings cover expenses incurred during 2025, including the period when Crockett formally launched her Senate bid.

Records show that Crockett spent $32,685.58 on luxury hotel accommodations alone during 2025.

In the final quarter of the year, as she rolled out her Senate campaign, she spent $11,841.27 on hotels across the country.

The hotels listed in campaign filings from the last quarter of 2025 include the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Hotel Zaza, Kimpton properties, and the West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles.

In addition to lodging, Crockett’s filings indicate significant spending on transportation services.

She spent a total of $11,738.60 on limousine and luxury car services in 2025.

During the final three months of the year, her House and Senate campaign accounts paid $5,446.30 to Bay Area Lux Limos, a California-based company, as well as to Detailed Drivers, which markets itself as a “white-glove” transportation service.

The campaign finance records also reflect spending on private security services, which were included in the more than $120,000 total cited in the Fox News report.

The expenditures occurred during a period in which Crockett framed her Senate campaign as a challenge to what she described as a “system of greed,” according to public campaign messaging.

Crockett has previously drawn attention for sharp criticism of President Donald Trump, whom she has described as a “slick con man” focused on benefiting wealthy interests.

Those remarks were also noted in the Fox News coverage examining her campaign spending patterns.

The congresswoman is currently serving in the U.S. House of Representatives while seeking higher office.

Her comments on MS NOW and the details disclosed in federal filings come as Texas voters prepare for another competitive election cycle and as candidates’ claims about cross-party appeal and campaign finances face closer examination.
