Law enforcement was called to the gate after the altercation took place.
According to a police report obtained from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a request for assistance at a gate where the aircraft was being held on the tarmac.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Crampton and two other individuals, whose names were redacted. One of them reportedly told authorities that the child involved had a history of behavioral issues both at home and during the trip.

Crampton admitted to police that those comments provoked her, describing the remarks as the “last straw” after ongoing disrespect during a recent visit to Disney World.
Crampton claimed the conflict intensified when the child began pushing her arm off the shared armrest after she took away a phone. At that point, she allegedly struck the child and slammed the child’s head into the aircraft window.
Authorities did not disclose the exact relationship between Crampton and the child, though the domestic nature of the charge indicates they are either related or reside in the same household.
Despite the charges, Crampton was released without bond.
