Yale Shuts Down Anti-Israel Student Group Over ‘Disturbing Anti-Semitic Conduct’ [WATCH]

Yale College has revoked the official student organization status of Yalies4Palestine following what the university described as “disturbing anti-Semitic conduct” during a protest held Tuesday evening at Beinecke Plaza.

As The Blaze reported, the demonstration, which began around 8 p.m. and lasted roughly four hours, has triggered an ongoing investigation that could result in disciplinary actions including probation, suspension, or expulsion.

In a statement released Wednesday, Yale confirmed that Yalies4Palestine would no longer be recognized as a registered student group due to multiple violations of school policies.

The revocation means the group will lose privileges such as reserving campus spaces, participating in the student activities bazaar, and applying for university funding.

“Because Yalies4Palestine has flagrantly violated the rules to which the Yale College Dean’s Office holds all registered student organizations. Yale College today notified Yalies4Palestine that the College is withdrawing its status as a registered student organization.”

Despite the group denying official involvement in the protest, college officials cited social media posts from Yalies4Palestine that appeared to promote and organize the event.

One widely shared post included a video of students erecting tents with the caption, “Repost! Share! Join the students!”

Footage from the protest also reportedly showed protesters blocking access to campus buildings for Jewish students, which Yale administration cited as part of the justification for disciplinary action.

Yalies4Palestine responded to the decision by accusing Yale of giving in to political pressure from President Donald Trump, who has taken steps against universities accused of permitting antisemitic activity on campus.

“Several peer institutions including Harvard and Columbia had federal funding stripped from them by the Trump administration soon after suspending student organizations protesting the genocide in Gaza,” the group said in a statement.

“Attacking students and alienating community members didn’t save Harvard or Columbia. It won’t save Yale.”

Approximately 100 individuals participated in the demonstration, which included eight tents. Protesters chanted, “We are here, and we are staying all night!” before administrators warned of consequences for violating campus policies.

The university emphasized that the disciplinary process is ongoing and additional actions may follow as the investigation continues.
