‘You Don’t Seem To Care’: Gavin Newsom’s Wife Takes The Mic To Nag Reporters

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom held a press conference Wednesday signing a bill granting $90 million in “one-time emergency funds” for Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.

Newsom surrounded himself with a gaggle of women for the event, including his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who brushed her husband aside and spoke to reporters herself. (RELATED: Newsom Goes All In On Political Gamble That Could Ultimately Remove Him From Presidential Race)

“We just find it incredulous that, um, we have Planned Parenthood here, and women are 51% of the population, and the majority of the questions, all of these questions, have really been about other issues. So, it’s just fascinating, we have this incredible women’s caucus, and all these allies, and you’re not asking about it.”

Siebel Newsom might as well have shouted: “What about ME? Why aren’t we talking about what I want to talk about?” 

She continued: “And this happens, over, and over, and over again. You wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country, and that these guys are getting away with it, because you don’t seem to care, so I just offer that, with love,” Siebel Newsom said, laughing at the end of her remarks.

The scolding came as Newsom signed a bill approving $90M in “emergency” funds to abortion providers.

The “incredible women’s caucus” around Siebel Newsom burst into applause. Her husband remained unmoved. One wonders if this was a planned stunt, or if Newsom was silently simmering at having to share the spotlight. “You have incredible women in this room, and you have these allies, ask about what we’re here for today, don’t you think?” Siebel Newsom concluded, before stepping away from the podium, which was dressed up with a pink sign reading, “Stopping Trump’s War On Women.”

Siebel Newsom possesses the exact amount of compassion for unborn children we’ve come to expect from Democrats. One silver lining: Newsom and his wife seem equally matched in terms of narcissism. Can you say, “soulmates”?
