Authorities confirmed that the crash involved multiple boats and occurred around 7 a.m. near the Miller Bottom area of the lake. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is currently leading the investigation into the crash.

All three victims in the fatal boating accident on Lewis Smith Lake have now been identified. ALEA previously confirmed the death of 58-year-old Joey M. Broom of Altoona, Alabama.

According to ALEA, Clark and Little were both aboard a Center Console vessel during the incident. The two men were ejected from the boat during the crash and drowned. Their bodies were recovered later by authorities.
