J.D. Vance and Wife Usha Announce Fourth Pregnancy

Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, announced Tuesday that they are expecting their fourth child, sharing the news publicly in a joint social media post, as reported by Page Six.

“We’re very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy,” the couple wrote in an Instagram post published Tuesday.

“Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.”

The announcement was made on Jan. 20, 2026, and confirmed that the baby is expected to arrive in the summer.

The vice president and second lady also expressed appreciation for the medical professionals caring for their family, as well as for members of their staff.

J.D. Vance, 41, and Usha Vance, 40, specifically thanked “the military doctors who take excellent care of [their] family,” according to the statement.

They also acknowledged staff members who assist them in balancing public service with family life, saying they are grateful for the support that allows them to “serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with [their] children.”

The couple married in 2014 and are already parents to three children: Ewan, 8; Vivek, 5; and Mirabel, 4. The upcoming birth will make their household a family of six.

While Vice President Vance generally keeps details about his family life private, he has spoken publicly in the past about his marriage and faith.

During an interview with Fox News in November, Vance discussed his interfaith marriage and how he and his wife approached raising their children.

“Yes, my wife did not grow up Christian,” Vance said during the interview. “I think it’s fair to say that she grew up in a Hindu family, but not a particularly religious family in either direction.”

Vance explained that when he and Usha first met in the early 2010s while attending Yale Law School, neither of them identified as religious.

“In fact, when I met my wife, we were both — I would consider myself an agnostic or an atheist, and that’s what I think she would have considered herself as well,” Vance said.

He added that after ongoing conversations, the couple decided to raise their children as Christians. Vance has previously said those decisions came after thoughtful discussions between him and his wife about faith and family.

The pregnancy announcement follows speculation about the couple’s relationship late last year, after Usha Vance was seen without her wedding ring in November.

Those rumors were later dismissed, and no separation or marital issues were confirmed.

As vice president, Vance has maintained a demanding schedule in Washington while also appearing frequently on the national stage.

The announcement of the couple’s fourth child adds a personal milestone to the early months of his tenure in office.

The White House has not released additional details beyond the couple’s statement, and no further comment was provided regarding Usha Vance’s due date other than the expected timing in late July.
