Guthrie also urged the public to assist authorities if possible. “We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900,” she said.

A spokesperson for the Guthrie family confirmed the situation in a separate statement provided to The Post.

“We can confirm this is a missing persons case, and the family is working closely with local law enforcement. If anyone has any information, please contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900. The family is grateful for the outreach, thoughts and prayers,” the spokesperson said.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, Nancy Guthrie was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at her home in Catalina Foothills, a residential area north of Tucson. She was officially reported missing the following day.

Authorities described the 84-year-old as being “not of good physical health” and classified her as a “vulnerable adult.”

During a press conference, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said one of Nancy Guthrie’s relatives placed a 911 call around noon Saturday to report her missing.

BREAKING: Savannah Guthrie’s Mother’s Disappearance Now Investigated as a Crime

Law enforcement officials confirmed that homicide detectives were also involved in examining her residence, a step authorities said is not typical in standard missing person cases.

“We’ve pretty much thrown everything at this as we can,” Nanos said regarding the search effort. “I don’t need to tell you, this is very concerning to us; we don’t typically get the sheriff out on a scene like this but it is very concerning.”

Nanos added that investigators have “grave concern” for Nancy Guthrie’s well-being as the search continues.

Nancy Guthrie has made multiple guest appearances on “Today” over the years, particularly after her daughter joined the show in 2011.

Savannah Guthrie has frequently referenced her family on-air and has spoken in the past about her close relationship with her mother.

The missing person investigation comes shortly after Savannah Guthrie returned to “Today” following an extended absence due to vocal cord surgery. She had been off the air for several weeks before making her return on Jan. 23. During that broadcast, Guthrie shared a segment detailing her recovery, including an emotional moment when she heard her voice after surgery.

“I’m so grateful to all of you at this place and my bosses at NBC, who have been nothing but supportive. To take three weeks off is a big, big deal,” Guthrie said at the time. “I’m so grateful to be back, and I’m ready to go.”

As of Monday, authorities had not released additional details about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department continues to urge anyone with information to contact investigators.
