Sen. John Kennedy warned of a growing strategic partnership among China, Russia, and Iran, arguing that the alliance poses a direct challenge to American interests and global stability, while crediting U.S. support for Israel with making the Middle East safer than it has been in decades.

Kennedy said his assessment is based on both classified and unclassified intelligence available to him as a member of the Senate.

He described what he characterized as a coordinated effort among adversarial powers to expand their influence across multiple regions of the world.

“Now here’s what I see around the world. This is based on unclassified information, but also classified information that that I have that access to,” Kennedy said.

“President Xi in China, Putin and Russia, the Ayatollah in Iran, have formed a partnership. President Xi in China is the managing partner.”

According to Kennedy, the partnership has a defined division of objectives, with each actor pursuing regional dominance while coordinating broader strategic goals.

“Their objective is to have Russia dominate Central and Eastern Europe, to have the Ayatollah and Iran dominate the Middle East, to have Russia dominate the Indo Pacific with freedom to roam in Sub Saharan Africa and South America,” he said.

Kennedy added that control of emerging strategic domains is also a priority for Beijing and Moscow.

“And both Russia and China want to control the Arctic and space.”

Kennedy warned that such a global order would be dangerous for the United States and its allies.

“Now that’s not a world safe for America. I don’t want America to be the world’s policeman, but I don’t want Xi Jinping or Putin or the Ayatollah to be either, and I think we have to fight back,” he said.

Turning to the Middle East, Kennedy argued that recent developments have weakened Iran’s ability to project power and export terrorism, crediting U.S. backing of Israel for that shift.

“Let me give you an example. This is going to sound strange to some. I think the Middle East is safer today than it has been in years, maybe in my lifetime,” Kennedy said.

He said Israel’s military actions, enabled by American support, have significantly degraded Iran and its proxy groups.

“Here’s why, with the support of the United, United States, particularly President Trump, some I’ll give him credit from President Biden, Israel has been allowed to give a curb stomping to Iran, to Hezbollah, to Hamas and to Iran,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy concluded by asserting that Iran’s long-standing role as a sponsor of terrorism has been sharply diminished.

“Iran, for years, exported terrorists. They’re not doing that anymore,” he said.
