Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation Receives Generous Donation from Walther

The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation is dedicated to teaching firearm safety and responsibility to youth. They recently announced that Walther made a wonderful donation to support their mission.

“The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation proudly announces a generous donation from Walther: a world-class KK500 Expert rifle that will directly support the development of a promising youth athlete in the competitive shooting sports,” a release from the Foundation said. “This elite-level small-bore competition rifle will be integrated into the Foundation’s advanced training pathway, providing a dedicated youth shooter with access to professional-grade equipment designed for precision, consistency, and high-level match performance.”

Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation is no stranger to the pages of Bearing Arms. We’ve had the pleasure of chronicling their fantastic work over the years. From bringing their mission across the North-West and even to the Aloha State, to teaching a blind child how to shoot — Kids S.A.F.E. has been doing yeoman’s work in regards to Second Amendment advocacy.

Some details about the KK500 Expert rifle:

The KK500 Expert platform is widely respected in competitive shooting circles for its engineering, adjustability, and performance reliability. By placing this rifle into the hands of a dedicated junior competitor, the Foundation aims to:

• Support advancement from local and state matches to regional and national competition
• Remove financial barriers that often limit youth participation in precision sports
• Reinforce safe firearm handling and disciplined marksmanship
• Build confidence, focus, and personal responsibility in young athletes

By enforcing proper and safe firearm handling, the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation strictly adheres to industry best practices when it comes to firearm education. The training they conduct under those standards comes from “certified instruction [with] parental involvement.”

Some of the qualities that competitive shooting instills, the Foundation says, include “patience, accountability, and mental resilience.” These skills convert over to being useful beyond the range and fosters responsibility in youth.

“The Foundation will formally present the rifle to a selected youth athlete who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to training, sportsmanship, and safety principles,” Kids S.A.F.E. noted. “Updates on the athlete’s progress and upcoming competitions will be shared through the Foundation’s media channels.”

The work that LeBlanc and his team do is pivotal to the Second Amendment. Not only is it paramount that our youth are taught how to handle firearms and what to do if they encounter them, the survival of the Second Amendment is incumbent on it. Kudos! to LeBlanc, the Kids S.A.F.E. team, and Walther for seeing the importance in providing our youth a positive experience.
