Kennedy Center President Ric Grenell will be stepping down from his position overseeing the national cultural center.
Matt Floca, the vice president of facilities at the Kennedy, will take over for Grenell, accoprding to President Donald Trump. The Kennedy Center board is expected to meet on Monday to official vote and approve the closure of the center to begin its two year construction, an administration official told the Daily Caller.
Grenell asked to leave his post because the head of the center will now being overseeing construction, the official added.
Construction materials are expected to begin arriving at the Kennedy Center on Monday, according to the official.
