California’s Most Degenerate Lawmaker Listens Stone-Faced As Man Describes Horrors Of Minor Trans Procedures

Democratic California State Sen. Scott Wiener sat quietly on Tuesday when a young gay man described the horrors of transgender procedures for minors.

Jonni Skinner testified that doctors “poisoned” his body with puberty blockers when he identified as transgender as a child, which he said caused permanent damage. Weiner appeared emotionless while Skinner asked the legislature to extend sympathy to those who have been damaged by these procedures.

“SB 934 guarantees that more people will end up like me, the walking but wounded,” Skinner said. “I could’ve been spared all of this if any of my therapists would’ve explored why I felt dysphoric, but they never did. They only led me to hate my body more. The Supreme Court ruled in a rare, bipartisan decision that laws like this are unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination, this bill is an attempted workaround that will be used to silence therapists who could’ve helped me avoid the irreversible harms to my body and the loss of my sexual function, as is the same for many others. Wiener introduced S.B. 934 in January, which would extend patients’ ability to seek legal compensation against any medical provider who tried to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. The hearing on the legislation came one week after the Supreme Court ruled in an 8-1 decision that Colorado’s ban on so-called “conversion therapy” violates a person’s right to free speech.

Throughout his time in the legislature, Wiener introduced several pieces of legislation that would allow children to undergo sex changes and puberty blockers. He introduced a bill in July that would block courts in other states from revoking custody from parents who sought out hormonal and sex change procedures for their children.

Wiener also authored a bill that relaxed requirements for sex offenders who were no more than 10-years-older than their minor victims, which Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law in 2020. In 2021, the state senator said he was “really proud” of a law that permits trans-identifying men to be housed in women’s prisons and criminalized feminists who opposed the legislation.

In January 2019, Wiener introduced a bill to stop “discrimination against LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry.”

Wiener announced in October that he is running to replace former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is retiring in 2027.
