President Donald Trump issued sharp criticism of former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Wednesday following the outcome of a special election runoff in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, where Republican candidate Clay Fuller secured victory, as reported by Fox News.
Fuller won the April 7 runoff election to fill the seat previously held by Greene, who left office earlier this year before completing her term.
According to unofficial results, Fuller won by more than 11%. The district had been considered a strong Republican seat, with Trump noting its previous margin of support.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Fuller while criticizing Greene’s tenure.
Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement
“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown’s (GREEN TURNS TO BROWN UNDER STRESS!) seat in Congress has been taken over by a wonderful and talented man, Clay Fuller, who won convincingly, and right from the beginning, despite many people running for that ‘TRUMP’ +37 seat, and despite the stench left by Greene,” Trump wrote.
“Congratulations to Clay Fuller, a very large improvement over his deranged predecessor!” he added.
Greene had previously won re-election in 2024 by a margin exceeding 28%. However, turnout in the April 7 special election appeared to be lower compared to the 2024 race, which coincided with a presidential election cycle.

Following the results, Greene responded on X, stating that the district remained secure for Republicans while criticizing Trump’s recent positions.
“The district was never in danger of flipping blue, but the results speak for themselves. Trump flipping MAGA from America First to America Last, covering up for the Epstein files, and betraying key campaign promises of no more foreign wars has been the best help for the Democrats. Sad!” Greene wrote.

The exchange marks a continuation of a public rift between Trump and Greene, who had previously been a supporter of the president before their relationship deteriorated last year.
The disagreement escalated following Trump’s recent statements regarding Iran. On Easter Sunday, Trump posted a message on Truth Social warning of military action if Iran did not comply with demands related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” Trump wrote.
Greene responded with criticism in a post on X, writing that the president had “gone insane.”
In a longer message, she stated, “Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit.”

The following day, Greene called for Trump’s removal from office through the 25th Amendment after additional statements were made about potential military action.
“25TH AMENDMENT!!! Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization. This is evil and madness,” she wrote.

The dispute between Trump and Greene comes as Fuller prepares to take over representation of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, with the special election marking a shift in leadership for the seat.
