Schumer and Jeffries Caught Undermining America’s Iran Deal [WATCH]

President Donald Trump criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries during remarks addressing ongoing negotiations, arguing that public pressure from political opponents could undermine the process.

Trump said calls from Democratic leaders to withdraw from negotiations come at a critical time and could weaken the United States’ position.

“We can’t let traitors like Schumer put pressure on you where they say we want out,” Trump said.

He added, “How think how bad that is. I’m negotiating with these people, and they’re telling us, we have to get out now.”

Trump continued, “We have to get out now. We have to go now.”

He contrasted the timeline of the current situation with past conflicts, noting, “And they were in a war for 18 years.”

He added, “Think of that. Vietnam, 19 years. Iraq, eight years.”

Trump said his focus remains on the outcome of negotiations rather than speed.

“So I want to make, I want to make a good deal,” he said.

He continued, “I’m not going to be rushed. I have all the time in the world.”

Trump emphasized that his objective is a stronger agreement, stating, “I want to make it not a good deal.”

“What to make a great deal,” he added.

He said the stakes are significant given past military losses.

“I don’t want to do this. Go through this. And you know, we have, I mean, if you look at this, what we’ve suffered in terms of losses,” Trump said.

He added, “We lost 13 men, and that’s terrible.”

“We, I wish we didn’t lose one,” Trump continued.

He said the scale of military operations has been substantial despite those losses.

“But if somebody would have said, we’ve done this and obliterated that country, obliterated it, and we lost 13 men, people would have said, That’s not possible,” Trump said.

“To have done that. It’s not possible,” he added.

Trump said he believes the United States has performed effectively in its efforts.

“So we’ve done a great job,” he said.

He reiterated his position that outside pressure is not appropriate during negotiations.

“And I don’t want to be rushed by people that are really treasonous,” Trump said.

“As far as I’m concerned, we’re there,” he added.

Trump also criticized Jeffries’ public statements about the situation.

“I watch this low IQ guy, Hakeem Jeffries, is a totally low IQ person,” Trump said.

“And he’s always ranting and raving,” he added.

Trump said such comments could affect negotiations.

“Oh, this war is so terrible. They shouldn’t be saying that when we’re in the midst of a negotiation,” he said.

He added, “Because it does hurt us somewhat.”

Trump concluded by stating that public criticism during negotiations can influence the opposing side.

“It gives the other side some hope,” he said.

“And I don’t want them to have hope.”
