President Donald Trump’s return to Beijing for a historic summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping was nothing short of a display of confidence and leadership.

According to body language expert Lillian Glass, Trump’s demeanor reflected that of a lion asserting quiet mastery in the diplomatic arena.

Far from being intimidated, Trump projected strength while also demonstrating genuine warmth toward his Chinese counterpart, as reported by The New York Post.

WOW! Several HUNDRED Chinese youth and a military band just gave President Trump a GRAND WELCOME as he arrived in Beijing

Glass described the meeting as one of mutual respect and connection between two global heavyweights. “He’s showing, kind of like a peacock or a lion, he’s showing his power,” she told The Post.

The Florida-based body language expert, who has testified in both federal and state courts, noted that Trump’s posture was exceptionally straight and disciplined, reflecting both military precision and commanding presence.

During the elaborate welcome ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, Trump balanced strong gestures with personal friendliness.

“Trump was very friendly with patting him,” Glass observed. “They were in close proximity with each other. There were a lot of smiles.” Those back pats, she explained, reflected a mix of strategic dominance and sincere rapport.

Glass emphasized the authenticity of Trump’s conduct. “He was showing his gravitas, nothing contrived. He really felt it,” she said.

That balance of power and warmth, according to her analysis, underlined Trump’s natural ability to connect personally while maintaining authority.

The hand pats, and the smiles were not empty photo opportunities. They were signals of genuine mutual understanding.

Xi, for his part, responded in kind. He returned Trump’s back pats and matched his stride as they walked side by side through the grand hall.

“It wasn’t all Trump taking over; it was mutual,” Glass observed. That mutual interaction suggested, in her view, a genuine connection and shared respect between the two leaders.

Their synchronized steps were particularly telling, according to the expert.

“The fact that they were walking in sync, the fact that [Trump] patted [Xi] a lot on his back, and he had his hand on Trump’s back – that was a very good thing,” Glass said.

Walking in rhythm signified alignment in mindset and purpose. It was, she said, a powerful sign that the meeting went beyond formal diplomacy.

Glass’s interpretation stands in stark contrast to how many in the mainstream press often portray Trump as brash or confrontational on the world stage.

Instead, her analysis paints the image of a pragmatic leader who commands the room through both confidence and emotional intelligence.

In Beijing, Trump delivered a diplomatic performance that conveyed strength without arrogance and warmth without weakness.

Her observations also pushed back against constant speculation about Trump’s physical readiness for office. “He walked pretty well up those stairs,” she remarked, praising his steady stride ascending the towering staircase of the Great Hall.

“He certainly was formidable and walked quite a long distance.” That physical stamina, she said, “destroys any myths” about Trump’s health.

Glass went even further to dismiss critics who question his neurological health. “He had a good pace. He walked straight. So anybody that’s accusing him of a neurological problem needs to look at themselves,” she said pointedly.

Her words highlighted what Trump’s supporters have long argued: the media’s obsession with his health is nothing more than political theater.

The interaction between Xi and members of Trump’s delegation added another layer of interest. Glass noted that Xi seemed particularly intrigued by Stephen Miller, Trump’s deputy chief of staff.

“Don’t know if they knew each other, but there was a connection there,” she said, remarking that Xi lingered longer in his exchange with Miller than with any other member of the American delegation.

For observers of U.S.-China relations, this meeting will likely be remembered as one of symbolic importance.

It showed that diplomacy in the Trump era was based on personal connection and visible confidence rather than the apologetic approach that often defined previous administrations.

Trump’s body language reflected an America no longer content to shrink back from assertive global leadership.

Even amid growing tensions between the two powers, Glass’s analysis suggests that Trump’s meeting in Beijing projected the one message both sides respect most: strength.

To the left’s dismay, the president they caricatured as impulsive and unrefined continues to command a room, whether in Washington or across the Pacific.

His presence was not just ceremonial; it was commanding, confident, and unmistakably American.
