If it’s not who Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed is hanging out with, it’s what he’s written or what’s come out of his own mouth that keeps him constantly in the spotlight during this campaign.
None of it is complimentary or appealing to your everyday, hardworking American, and none of it is a figment of anyone’s imagination – it’s all right there, documented and #ForRealz.
The latest absolute horror to come from the Michigan ‘doctor’ who never did get his license and practices a religion notorious for its treatment of women as chattel – even in the United States, where females are swathed head to toe in religiously prescribed garb men are not required to wear. That is a complete anathema to anyone who believes in the very foundational freedoms of this country.
El-Sayed has been exposed for hitting on the third rail of medical care in this country – breast cancer research – in quite possibly the most disgusting, dismissive, racist, classist, and misogynistic terms any arrogant male cultural dinosaur possibly could.
To ‘DR.’ El-Sayed (how he signed the essay), epidemiologist, breast cancer primarily affects those people with ‘social power and privilege‘…
…It’s also possible that advocacy is a function of the social power and privilege of those most likely to get a disease—one of the findings of the article
…and the extraordinary amount of research dollars devoted to stopping and curing all the different manifestations of this terrifying and deadly disease is the result of effective ‘disease lobbying.’
…Then why all the focus on breast cancer? Because it has organized and powerful advocates, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a juggernaut in disease lobbying.
There are so many things wrong with what the epidemiologist blithely scribbles here that it’s frightening, and I am a person who has had both breast cancer survivors in my family as well as written about Susan G. Komen Foundation’s virtual chokehold on breast cancer research dollars.
This paragraph is appalling in its ignorance, and I’m no doctor – I don’t even play one here at HotAir. I just know what I know. How does an ‘epidemiologist’ not?
…The breast cancer lobby has done an incredible job raising my “awareness” of Breast Cancer—if I weren’t an epidemiologist, it would have me believing that the women around me were in imminent danger. And perhaps they are—but the numbers suggest other diseases I should be far more worried about. In fact, women are twice as likely to die of lung cancer than breast cancer, and nearly six times as likely to die of heart disease.
Dear DR. El-Sayed – has it never occurred to you that the reason the numbers of ‘deaths’ associated with breast cancer are now so low is thanks to the very research you are so angry about?
That the reason breast cancer is now ‘less deadly, more survivable‘ at all, something he completely dismisses in the paragraph below, is not because only rich, white people catch it and a disease feature, but because those research dollars have funded ever better early detection and treatment.
…The answer is complex, for certain. But two possible answers could spell problems for equity in health research allocation. First, it’s possible that those diseases with the strongest advocacy are the ones that have the highest survival. After all, those once or currently affected by a disease are most likely to advocate for funding allocation to it. It’s also possible that advocacy is a function of the social power and privilege of those most likely to get a disease—one of the findings of the article. If so, that would mean that disease-specific lobbying would drive funding toward more survivable, less deadly diseases more likely to affect those with access to treatment. In effect, this would drive funding away from those who need it most—a predicament indeed.
This misogynistic goon is disgusting. And some scummy ‘doctor.’
As for his assertions about breast cancer incidence and only rich white people being affected by it, all I can say is that it’s no wonder blacks in Detroit rejected him in the primary.
Black women suffer tremendously from worse cases and outcomes of this vicious disease.
…In the United States, breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer death in women. In 2025, more than 316,950 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 59,080 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (also known as stage 0 breast cancer) will be diagnosed in women in the United States. While there has been an overall 44 percent decline in breast cancer deaths since 1989—thanks to gains in awareness, earlier diagnoses, and more effective treatments—there is a persistent mortality gap between Black women and white women.
American Cancer Society data highlight the need to close this devastating gap. While breast cancer incidence rates among Black and white women are close, mortality rates are markedly different, with Black women having a roughly 38 percent higher death rate. Among women under 50, the disparity is even greater: Though young women have a higher incidence of aggressive cancers, young Black women have double the mortality rate of young white women. Advances in early detection and treatment have dramatically reduced breast cancer deaths overall, but it’s clear that these breakthroughs haven’t benefitted all groups equally—and this disparity has remained unchanged for more than a decade.
…Through continued research, it’s clear that biology also plays a role. Black women are disproportionately affected by more aggressive subtypes of breast cancer, such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and inflammatory breast cancer, and they are more likely to be diagnosed at younger ages and at more advanced stages of the disease.
Abdul El-Sayed wants Medicare for All to pay for sex-change surgeries (with our taxpayer dollars) — but thinks funding for breast cancer research is “disturbing.”

If there ever was ‘equity in health research,’ the advances in breast cancer treatments over these past decades have been it, saving lives across the economic length and breadth of this country.
Left-wing Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed is known for speaking out against widely beloved things like fireworks, football, and bacon.

…for “equity in health research allocation” by prioritizing research for diseases that affect people with “social power and privilege.”
But I guess when it cuts into your office budget, and it was money going to ‘women’s‘ things…
…El-Sayed, who is running against Republican Mike Rogers in one of the most heated Senate races in the country, has long faced allegations of sexism. In 2019, eight female employees at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where El-Sayed briefly worked, named him in a gender and age discrimination lawsuit against the school and its director, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
According to the complaint, El-Sayed told a 41-year-old female colleague that he refused to work with “anyone over 40.” El-Sayed also told the woman that he furnished his office at the school with “very high-end furniture” he purchased with “leftover grant money” that he obtained while at Columbia University, according to the lawsuit.
…that makes it personal?
Interesting wrinkle here:
El-Sayed’s beef was that too many grants went to breast cancer research, at the expense of other diseases
But in a 2019 lawsuit, a co-worker said El-Sayed boasted of using grant $ to buy “very high-end furniture” for his office…

He’s such a bigoted, lying, hateful ignoramus.
Abdul El-Sayed says he would be the first Democrat doctor in the U.S. Senate: “It’d be a good idea to hire somebody who actually understands this industry”

FTR, there are four currently serving doctors who already probably ‘understand this industry‘ regardless of their party, in the US Senate. All Republicans – Roger Marshall (R-KS), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Rand Paul (R-KY), John Barrasso (R-WY) – and there were plenty of others before them.
Unlike DR. El-Sayed, who seems determined to prove he doesn’t have the first clue about damn near anything.
So, to El-Sayed’s greatest hits, which include verified public statements hating Jews, hating America, dissing football, bacon, while hating tax cuts but loving illegals…
Abdul El-Sayed vows to scrap worker tax cuts and restore public benefits for people in the country illegally.

…wanting to impose government healthcare on all…
🚨Abdul El-Sayed ADMITS he’s going to raise costs on Michiganders to fund government-run healthcare:

…and cannot bring himself to say ‘American’?

We can add his assault on the research and early detection that has saved the lives of at least six of my friends and my precious sister-in -law.
All of this privileged man’s radical friends, alongside his own socialist, hateful statements and writings, are diametrically opposed to what the majority of Americans believe or where they want to see their country go. And what they look for when they choose a senator.
This has led to very tight polls in the Michigan race, and support is firming up for El-Sayed’s Republican opponent, Mike Rogers.
🚨 NOW: New MICHIGAN US SENATE poll
🔵 Abdul El Sayed: 46.6% (+1.9)
🔴 Mike Rogers: 44.7%
🟡 Unsure: 5.4%Michigan has become a TOTAL TOSSUP despite it not having a red senator in over 2 decades

However, CNN would like a word with Michigan voters.
The doyenne of the network’s political programming, Dana Bash, considers the fact that MI voters are finding the Islamist socialist just the teeniest bit off-putting and are not supporting him?
Well, kids – Ms. Bash thinks you’re ‘JUST GROSS.’
🚨 CNN MELTS DOWN 😱 after a poll shows 45% of Michigan voters do NOT want a Muslim Senator representing them in Washington.
Their reaction? “It’s just GROSS.” 🤮

Man, Michigan…I don’t know how you all can sleep at night after that.
Probably like babies.
