Kelsey Grammer Rips Karen Bass With Insulting Nickname While Endorsing Spencer Pratt for LA Mayor [WATCH]

Kelsey Grammer did not hold back during a Friday event in Westlake Village, where he voiced strong political opinions and made clear who has his support in the Los Angeles mayoral race.

Speaking before a crowd of Trump supporters, the actor threw his weight behind former reality star Spencer Pratt while criticizing Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The gathering took place at Rustico restaurant and was hosted for U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

The event attracted attention both for its political statements and for the outspoken remarks delivered throughout the evening.

Bessent, known as one of Donald Trump’s close advisors, fired up the audience by declaring, “California is a great state, it’s just horribly run.”

His comments drew loud approval from the room filled with conservative supporters.

Earlier that week, Bessent had drawn headlines himself when he responded to questions about Governor Newsom’s proposed Golden State 100% tax on Trump’s $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.”

At the time, he bluntly told reporters, “There’s no cure for stupid.”

Grammer echoed some of those frustrations on Friday night.

From the stage, he praised Bessent as a “rockstar,” reinforcing his own long-standing reputation as one of Hollywood’s few outspoken Republicans.

He added, “Stupid lives in California,” a statement aimed at policies he described as harmful to the state.

When asked about Los Angeles politics in particular, Grammer went even further.

“I just call her Karen Bass-ackwards. That’s what we’ve always called her in my house,” he told The Post while leaving the restaurant, taking direct aim at the city’s mayor.

Grammer said he would be voting for Spencer Pratt in the upcoming election, describing him as “the only guy that’s a real option.”

The “Cheers” and “Frasier” actor suggested he has no confidence in other contenders.

“We know what the rest is going to do,” he added.

His comments about Governor Newsom were especially brief, but no less telling.

When asked whether he had more to say about the governor, Grammer replied, “I just hope we’ve heard the last of him.”

The event also showcased Bessent’s cross-country promotional tour for the initiative known as “Trump Accounts.”

The program is designed to give children under 18 years old $1,000 to invest in the stock market, with the stated goal of teaching financial literacy and creating long-term investment growth.

Robin De Sapio, a 47-year-old mother of two from Santa Rosa Valley who attended the event, told The Post that she believed the concept could help families nationwide.

“It levels the playing field for everybody in America,” she said.

“These accounts are for every child 18 and under, they’re for America. For me, that’s exciting. We can teach financial literacy and become wizards with money from the beginning. This is a great idea.”

Her 10-year-old son, Marty, appeared equally enthusiastic about the plan.

“When you turn 18 you get a bunch of money that’s been invested,” he said.

“It’s very cool. I really like it.”

Marty added that he already has plans for the future. When he turns 18, he said he wants to “save a little, then buy a car and make more money.”

Throughout the night, applause frequently cut through the air as supporters praised the pro-Trump economic message being delivered.

Grammer’s outspoken endorsement of Spencer Pratt and biting remarks about local leaders were among the most talked-about moments as guests filtered out of the restaurant.

Grammer isn’t the only Hollywood star to get behind Pratt.
