Tragic Final Days of ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and ‘The Ring’ Actress Revealed [WATCH]

Distressing footage has surfaced showing “Lilo & Stitch” actress Daveigh Chase in a fragile state months before her death, as friends and family tried desperately to save her, according to her longtime manager, as reported by The New York Post.

John Ryan, who managed Chase for over a decade, said he and Chase’s stepsister, Gaia Brown, hired a private investigator about a year ago to find the actress and get her help.

Ryan explained that near the end of 2025, he received a troubling alert about a video allegedly showing Chase visibly frail and struggling on Skid Row.

The clip, which was later removed from social media, appeared to show her barely conscious and on the floor of what looked like a tent or trailer.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

After seeing the footage, Ryan said he managed to get in touch with Chase and attempted to rescue her for treatment. However, by the time he reached the area, she had vanished.

Ryan and Brown had planned to stabilize Chase in Los Angeles before transferring her to a rehab center in Costa Rica owned by a friend of his.

“We were so close to finding her,” Ryan told The Post.

“Daveigh was the sweetest and brightest light in Hollywood. I can’t believe this is real. Her legacy and work will live on forever.”

Ryan also revealed he was developing a documentary titled “Finding Lilo,” which chronicled efforts to locate the actress. He said major studios had already expressed interest in the project.

Following her death, Ryan publicly criticized what he described as a questionable GoFundMe organized by a man claiming to be Chase’s boyfriend.

“Apparently, a man claiming to be her ‘boyfriend’ that none of us friends or her family has heard of has set up a GoFundMe on ‘her and her family’s behalf’ that he set her up as the organizer. I can confirm Daveigh has a trust account set up at SAG to cover all costs,” he told The Post.

The GoFundMe effort had raised about $1,400 of its $5,500 goal. The organizer, identified as Roy Hernandez, did not specify where the donations would go.

Chase gained national fame as the voice of Lilo in Disney’s 2002 animated hit “Lilo & Stitch.”

She also became well known for portraying Samara Morgan in the horror film “The Ring.”

Despite early success, her later years were reportedly marked by addiction and homelessness.

According to reports, Chase died on June 17 from meningitis and a blood infection. She had been hospitalized for severe malnourishment prior to her death.

At that time, the actress had not appeared in film or television for nearly a decade, with her final major performances being in “Jack Goes Home” and “American Romance” in 2016.

Hernandez, who organized the fundraiser, called Chase his girlfriend in the post and shared his emotional farewell.

“After a difficult childhood and a painful falling out with her family, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown LA. When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope.”

He wrote that Chase longed for stability and comfort in her final days, adding, “All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days.”

He expressed gratitude to those showing support, writing, “I understand we all go through things, but if you can help, I will be really grateful for anything. And if you can only give a prayer, I will take that too. Thank you for considering helping us during this difficult time.”

Chase’s passing, along with the haunting video and conflicting claims surrounding her final days, has left those closest to her reeling.

Many who once knew her as a bright and hopeful Hollywood talent say they are determined to preserve her creative legacy.
