One of the frustrations I have when discussing immigration policies with ordinary, decent liberals is that they think I am exaggerating when I point out that the anti-deportation “activists” are hell-bent on keeping rapists, murderers, and paedos in the United States.

They honestly believe that it is hyperbole, because NOBODY would do that.

Well, there are a lot of “Nobodies” who would, including the elected officials who work tirelessly to thwart even the most obvious cases, such as violent criminals and child abusers.

DHS is going after Tim Walz over a pardon and rightly so. DHS is going after Tim Walz over a pardon and rightly so. On June 10, Minnesota’s Board of Pardons, a three-member panel of Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Chief Justice Natalie Hudson, voted to pardon Tou Lue Vang, an illegal alien from Laos convicted in 2006 of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a 10-year-old girl.

Vang was about a week from being deported. The pardon wipes the qualifying convictions that made him removable, which means it could block his removal from the country entirely.

Court filings say Vang repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl between 2002 and 2004. He once offered her $10 to keep quiet. When police interviewed him he called it “a cultural thing… to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12,” and said the victim was just as guilty as him and should be arrested too.

He entered the US through California in 1994 and was granted legal status under the Clinton administration. That status was revoked after his conviction, and an immigration judge issued a final order of removal in October 2006. He sat with that order for two decades because Laos would not take deportees back. That changed in 2025, and he was picked up last year in Operation Metro Surge.

“Governor Tim Walz’s decision to pardon an illegal alien convicted child rapist so he can remain in our country is disgusting,” said DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “These are the criminal illegal aliens he and his Minnesota sanctuary politicians are protecting.”

Here in Minnesota, our Board of Pardons consists of three members: the Governor, the Attorney General, and the Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, an appointee of Tim Walz.

Three radicals, in other words, and they are working hard to pardon migrants who are eligible for deportation.

Following his conviction, a Department of Justice (DOJ) Immigration Judge issued Vang a final order of removal on October 31, 2006.

“Governor Tim Walz’s decision to pardon an illegal alien convicted child rapist so he can remain in our country is disgusting,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “These are the criminal illegal aliens he and his Minnesota sanctuary politicians are protecting. Tou Lue Vang lost his legal status following his conviction for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. Following the conviction, he was placed in removal proceedings and issued a final order of removal by a judge. This pardon will take away this child rapist’s qualifying convictions that made him removable from the United States.”

Vang entered the United States in California in 1994 and was granted legal status by the Clinton Administration. That status was revoked upon his conviction and final order of removal in 2006.

This is not the first instance of the Clemency Review Commission granting a pardon to an illegal alien with a dangerous criminal history. In May, Minnesota pardoned Jai Vang, a criminal illegal alien from Laos, whose criminal record includes convictions for robbery, robbery of a business with a gun, and driving under the influence of liquor.

Contrary to their protestations, anti-deportation activists are not just defending illegal aliens who are fine, upstanding, and hard-working health care workers who work tirelessly to make the lives of the elderly and disabled just a little bit better, or whatever narrative they trot out at any given moment.

They are defending violent criminals, sex offenders, armed robbers, gang members, and human traffickers because their commitment is to flood the United States with illegal aliens to fundamentally change the character of the country.

Their model for what Americans should look like is Ilhan Omar, the Somali scammers, and anybody who believes that their own culture is fundamentally superior to our own.

The immigrants who hate America, as I wrote about earlier today.

Keith Ellison, when he was Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, was quite openly a revolutionary, and Tim Walz has made no secret of his hostility to American culture. He famously had the state patrol stand down for the George Floyd riots, and even pressured our hard-left Mayor of Minneapolis to allow the rioters to burn down a decent chunk of Minneapolis.

When Jacob Frey is more conservative than somebody, you know they are whacked.

Ordinary people cannot conceive of just how radical these people are, since for most of us it is difficult to imagine that a public official would mobilize all his resources to defend a child rapist. It is outside our ken.

Who would do that?

Well, the answer is: today’s radical Democrats.
