Bodycam Footage Shows Coast Guard Seizing Brian Hooker’s Sailboat in Chilling Missing Wife Probe [WATCH]

Newly released body camera footage shows U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service personnel seizing the sailboat owned by Brian Hooker as investigators continue examining the disappearance of his wife, Lynette Hooker, who vanished while the couple was vacationing in the Bahamas, as reported by The New York Post.

The footage, recorded May 9, captures the moment Coast Guard officers intercepted the sailboat Soulmate while it was being transported from the Bahamas back to the United States by a professional boat-moving crew.

The release of the video comes after months of investigation into Lynette Hooker’s disappearance. She was reported missing on April 4 while boating near Elbow Cay in the Abaco Islands with her husband.

According to investigators, Brian Hooker has maintained that Lynette fell from a dinghy during the night and was swept away. Her body has not been recovered.

The body camera footage indicates the two men transporting the sailboat were unaware it had become part of an active investigation.

In the video, an officer informs the captain of the vessel, “Right now the boat is being seized.”

The captain immediately responds, “Oh sh*t.”

Earlier in the encounter, a Coast Guard officer asks, “How many people on board?”

The captain, whose face was blurred in the released footage, replies, “Just us two.”

The officer then asks whether the crew is headed to St. Augustine.

“We are headed to Fernandina Beach. We’re moving it for the owner,” the captain responds.

Investigators also ask whether Brian Hooker is expected to meet the crew after the boat reaches Florida.

“I don’t think so, no,” the captain replies.

The video does not show Brian Hooker aboard the vessel during the seizure.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed what evidence they hope to recover from the sailboat, but investigators have continued treating it as a potential source of information related to Lynette Hooker’s disappearance.

As part of the investigation, members of the U.S. Coast Guard traveled to the Bahamas last month to conduct dive operations in the Sea of Abaco while also carrying out land searches with the assistance of a cadaver dog.

Investigators also returned to the United States with the dinghy that Lynette Hooker was reportedly using before she disappeared.

Authorities have said the smaller vessel will undergo additional forensic examination as investigators continue searching for evidence.

The investigation remains active, and officials have not announced any conclusions regarding Lynette Hooker’s disappearance.

A family friend described Lynette Hooker as someone who consistently helped those around her.

“She’s the kind of person anybody would be happy to be around on any occasion,” the friend told Fox News Digital.

The friend continued, “She’s the type of person after the party that sticks around to help clean up. She’s a person who shows up beforehand to help you set up. She is your go-to person when you need a friend.”

Brian Hooker has not been seen publicly or made any public statements since returning to the United States after initially being questioned and released by authorities in the Bahamas.

Officials have not charged Brian Hooker with any crime, and authorities have not publicly accused him of wrongdoing.

Investigators continue reviewing evidence recovered from both the sailboat and the dinghy as they work to determine what happened to Lynette Hooker during the couple’s vacation in the Bahamas.
