Gavin Newsom Goes ‘Tinfoil’ During ‘Election Rigging’ Rant Against Trump [WATCH]

California Governor Gavin Newsom tried to reignite Democrat panic on Thursday night, calling for the 25th Amendment to be used against President Donald Trump after his national address on election integrity.

The move blew up on him fast, as conservatives across the country pointed out that the same man spent years defending Joe Biden’s obvious mental decline.

Newsom mocked Trump’s remarks, sneering, “The only thing missing in Donald Trump’s speech was tin foil. This was a legitimate 25th Amendment moment, the rambling of a mad king.”

The line was meant to go viral, and it did, but not for the reason he hoped.

Republicans and even some moderates slammed the governor for his own track record of ignoring Biden’s condition while insisting Trump be removed from office.

The 25th Amendment, written in 1967, allows for the removal of a president if he is declared “unfit for duty” by either the Cabinet or a special review body established by Congress.

Democrats have long toyed with the idea when it suits them politically.

Under Biden, they laughed off every concern as “right-wing talking points.” Now, the same voices are shouting “fitness” again because the target has changed.

The Republican National Committee sharply criticized Newsom, firing off a post that summed up the disgust many conservatives feel.

“You literally propped up a vegetable and lied to the American people about his cognitive decline for four years and never mentioned the 25th amendment once.”

That single post captured the hypocrisy perfectly.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha also blasted the governor’s double talk.

“Given Newsom’s defense to this day of President Biden, calling him one of the greatest presidents ever, there’s a saying around sitting this one out that applies here,” Concha quipped.

His point resonated widely because even Democrats know Biden’s best days are long gone.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton piled on, noting that Newsom wants Trump removed for exposing vulnerabilities in California’s voter rolls and highlighting foreign threats to U.S. elections.

“Gavin Newsom wants to remove Trump from office for disclosing California could have tens of thousands of aliens illegally registered to vote and that China attacked 220 million voters,” Fitton said.

That, of course, cuts right to the heart of the Democrat fear: Trump talking election integrity again.

During his address, Trump said newly declassified documents revealed foreign meddling and U.S. government awareness of election flaws that had been quietly ignored.

He accused establishment bureaucrats of misleading voters.

Democrats, naturally, rushed to question his motives instead of addressing the substance, acting as if pointing to corruption was proof of insanity.

Newsom attempted to dismiss it all as a desperate act, saying, “He wants to rig the election in 2026. He knows he is going to lose. That’s what that whole thing was about.”

In other words, when Trump raises real questions about election systems, Democrats accuse him of plotting.

It is the same tired playbook that has worn thin with the public.

Predictably, the left-wing internet chorus echoed Newsom.

Influencer Harry Sisson gushed, “Boom. Gov. Gavin Newsom calls for the 25th Amendment to be invoked after Trump’s unhinged speech tonight. He’s right! Trump is mentally deranged and unfit to be president.”

Rep. Yassamin Ansari of Arizona followed up, declaring that Trump “lies with every breath he takes” and demanding swift action.

The far-left faction of the Democrat caucus was more than happy to join a new witch hunt.

Ansari and Maryland’s Jamie Raskin have become the face of a congressional push to form a standing body capable of evaluating a president’s mental state.

In practice, it would mean Democrats get to pick a panel that can oust any president who defies their agenda.

Conservatives were quick to point out the danger.

If the 25th becomes a partisan weapon, no elected president will ever be safe from political sabotage.

For many on the right, this entire episode is a flashing neon sign of Democrat insecurity.

Biden’s slow public appearances, repeated confusion, and nearly constant absences have eroded any claim that Democrats are the party of stability.

It’s why Newsom is trying to project strength, even as his own record in California remains a disaster of crime, homelessness, and mass exodus.

Assemblyman Joe Patterson, a California Republican, did not mince words in response.

“Does anyone else think it’s weird that as he talks about Trump rigging an election, he simultaneously asks for the president’s cabinet to remove a duly elected president? Yeah, Gavin, that would pose no risk to our democracy at all. Get real!”

That summed up what most Americans outside the liberal bubble are thinking.

There is also a bit of irony in Newsom’s timing.

Only days before, First Lady Jill Biden had given an update on Joe Biden’s ongoing cancer treatment, acknowledging that the 83-year-old would be living with the disease permanently.

The same week that Democrats paraded Biden before cameras to prove his vitality, his loyal surrogates were calling Trump “unfit.”

It takes mental gymnastics only Washington insiders could perform.

Conservatives see the Newsom spectacle for what it is: posturing.

The California governor may have White House dreams of his own, but his selective concern about “fitness for office” reveals everything about the current Democrat playbook.

When power is at risk, invoke the Constitution as a political tool. When your own side stumbles, pretend everything is fine.

The uproar following his comments shows that Americans are not so easily fooled.

The 25th Amendment was designed for constitutional crises, not political theater.
