Apparently, in Michigan Democrat Party politics, you can never be antisemitic enough. If you support Israel’s mere right to exist, you will be excommunicated from polite company.

Pux Cider bar in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a longtime Democrat Party hangout, both because its proprietors are lefties and because it happens to be located next door to the Kent County Democrat Party headquarters.
It’s the sort of place where they hold LGBTQ+ World Cup watch parties or events for Democratic women, such as the one that recently featured Haley Stevens and other Democrat Party women.
Haley Stevens, you see, won’t say that Israel has no right to exist, and even, HORRORS!, believes that the Iron Dome is a good thing. That puts her outside the bounds of polite company. She’s a Nazi, but not the good kind that wants Jews dead, but the bad kind who doesn’t.
Stevens is a sitting Congresswoman, so within the past two years she wasn’t yet persona non grata, which shows you how far and how quickly the Democrats have fallen into the sewer of antisemitism.
And she’s not alone. The Democratic Attorney General herself is no longer welcome in the party. So much so that she was afraid to go to the Michigan Democrat Party convention.
Seriously.

Dana Nessel is no moderate Democrat. She’s a solid progressive who is gay, has been a Trump nemesis, and used to be electable in her party. Perhaps she still is, statewide. She’s an incumbent who is up for reelection, yet she doesn’t feel safe around her fellow Democrats anymore.

Dana Nessel is a solidly progressive Democrat. She is the first openly gay person elected to statewide office in Michigan. Fought for marriage equality all the way to the Supreme Court, defended expanded abortion access, LGBTQ civil rights, environmental protections, and gun control.
None of that matters now.
Since antisemitism in her state has gotten “worse and worse” since the October 7 terror attack on Israel, she is skipping her own Democratic Party convention.
“I feel like my presence is not going to be welcomed. I don’t want to get chased around. I don’t want to get harassed. I don’t want to get yelled and screamed at. And I don’t want to get booed off the stage, irrespective of what I’m saying. And I believe that if I go, that is what will happen.”
The threats she gets are almost exclusively about her Judaism — not her sexuality, not her politics.
The Democratic party claims to champion the marginalized…until the marginalized person is Jewish.
Why don’t the party’s leaders, Chuck Schumer, himself Jewish, and Hakeem Jeffries, condemn this hate?
The Democratic Party: “Hate Has No Home Here.” They even put it on signs they wave as they chant for the death of Trump, healthcare executives, and Jews.

Will Jewish Democrats wake up and smell the coffee, or are they still too blinded by hatred toward Trump and the Republicans to understand that they are seen as the enemy by more and more Democrats?
